Jays POV After a minute I scramble to my feet trying to ignore the ringing in my ears as I look around for Hailey who was laying on the floor next to me. "Hailey?! Hailey?!" I call out, grabbing her hand to help pull her up.

"Hey you okay?" I ask "yeah I'm good" she says as we both look around us. "Call it in" she says as I grab my radio from my waist, "5021 George, there's been an explosion. Send bomb squad and back up to my location now!" I shout into my radio. "Hey guys get everyone back!" Hailey shouts to the patrol guys who all just pulled up.
"What the hell?" I ask as we look around "it was another car bomb" she says "Hey are you guys okay?!" I hear Kim yell from behind us as I turn around and see all the team rushing out towards us "yeah we're good" I say as I look around me "Right Trudy I want all of your men getting statements and set a perimeter round here, no one in or out till they are in the clear! I want CFD and Bomb squad here now!" Voight orders as everyone else rushes off back inside. He look at me then Hailey who still looks startled "are you guys sure you are okay?" He asks gently with a less harsh voice "yeah" Hailey says and I nod in agreement.
Hailey's POV I can still feel the slight ringing in my ears as I try to comprehend what just happened, I have never really felt that close to an explosion before. I think I was my first one to be honest. It has terrified me so much, I can feel the shake in my hands as I think about the loud horrific sound again. I am like a little kid reacting to fireworks for the first time. "Hailey!" I suddenly hear Jay says as I turn around and see him looking back at me "are you coming?" He asks as he looks at me as if I have been ignoring him "Hailey are you okay?" He asks worriedly as he walks down the steps towards me.
Jays POV "Okay right let's focus, we need to get to work. We need to find this guy before he hits again. We can start to look at footage and see when the car arrived and how parked it here, maybe then we can actually catch the guy" I say as I start to walk up the steps to the district. I turn around and I see Hailey isn't following me she is just standing there, "Hailey?" I say waiting for her to acknowledge me but she doesn't. "Hailey!?" I say again and this time she turns around to look at me with a confused look. "Are you coming?" I ask but she still stands there, I get really worried that something is really wrong with her so I walk towards her.
"Hailey are you okay?" I ask as I take her hand, she nods but I know that look all too well "is this the first time you have even heard a bomb?" I ask. She hesitates but then nods "hey Hailey it's okay, they are scary and terrible things. You are allowed to be scared" I say as I pull her into my embrace. I forget what it's like for other people to experience this, I mean sometimes the explosions can take me back to the war but I am used to them, I can't even imagine what she's feeling right now. Hailey gets scared when you raise your voice and I know that's because of her past but she gets scared easily so this must terrifying her. "I know you are scared okay but we really need to get to work and help the others, can you manage?" I ask "yeah" she says as she shakes her head then we both rush up the stairs.
