Hailey's POV We pull up outside the old shop and park at the side of the road. We all jump out and Jay grabs the long gun from the boot, I reload my gun then we all put our coms in. We run over to the rest of the unit who are waiting by the door, sarge gives out his orders and we all stand aside as he kicks the door open. "CHICAGO PD!" He shouts. We clear the first hallway and then when we enter the first room I am taken surprise when they start shooting at us.
We all duck down and take cover behind the wall while we shoot at them. I am firing my gun and I look around the room and to the left and I see Mark getting away, "Jay cover me!" I shout as he slides across the floor and starts shooting so I can run past them.

I manage to follow Mark to an exit and I hide behind the wall, I can hear that the shooting hasn't stopped yet, there are still firing at us. I look back into the room and I go to take a step but I am thrown inside by someone behind me. Before I can even turn around to see him I am thrown up against the wall and my gun is dropped from my hands and skids across the floor. I look up to see a Latino man standing in front of me holding me up to the wall.
"What are you doing here!?" He yells as he slams me into the wall again, he was a lot stronger then me and he had a better advantage but I still attempt to punch him. I think I caught his face but I try using my legs as well but he just lift me higher "Why!?" He yells as he slams me again. "Ugh" i groan as i feel the pain of the stone wall hit my head.
"CHICAGO PD HANDS UP!" I hear Kim yell at the guy, he doesn't loosen his grip on my shoulders instead he just stairs at me. Kim walks closer to him and shoves her gun into his back "You think I'm joking with you, that's my best friend" she says as debates a second then finally realise me, i drop to the floor and stumble a bit but manage to stay on my feet. "Get on the floor, lock your fingers behind your head" she orders as she looks up at me "hey you okay?" She asks "Yeah fine" I say as i take her handcuffs and slap them on his wrists.
"Ohh by the way......Karma's a bitch" I smile at him. He frowned at me but I kick him right in between his legs. He falls to the floor groaning and grunting in pain and I stand next to Kim, she laughs then high fives me and we both watch him struggle to sit up. We wait about 2 minutes then everyone walks through to see him squirming around on the floor and us just watching. "Mark got away but we got him" I say as I point to the guy on the floor.
"Bitch kicked me in the balls!" He shouts "ohhh what a shame" Adam says sarcastically as him and Kevin lift him from the floor and escort him outside. "Why did you kick him?" Voight asks "he was throwing her into the wall" Kim says and he laughs "nice work" he chuckles as he pats my shoulder "thanks Sarge" I say. "Now let's go interrogate him" Jay smiles as he walks out with me and Kim.
When we get back Voight and Adam head inside to interrogate him while the rest of us were watching from the observation room. They take a seat in front of him as he sits there pulling at his handcuffs. "There not coming off anytime soon" Adam chuckles as he throws a file on the table. "Anyway your name is Ronald Rodrigues, you are 38 years old and funny enough I know that you were the one driving the truck this morning" Adam says and he passes a picture of him in the truck to him.
"What were you guys going to do with the money that you stole?" Voight asks him but he still doesn't break "where's Mark ?" Adam asks but he shrugs his shoulders
"Where's that stupid blonde one, she needs her ass kicked" he says as he looks around the room "she's not coming in" I head Adam say "why to scared?" He chuckles "she bloody better be, I will smack that pretty little face!" He shouts again and I can feel myself get angry the more he trash talks me, I just want to go in there and kick him again. "Yo princess!" He yells "come here and let me teach you a lesson" he says grimly and I feel myself tense up "shut up!" Voight growls at him "Ohh is this you daddy? Trying to protect you coz you a little girl?" He shouts.
I turn around to storm into the room but I feel that I am pulled back "woah woah your not going in there" I hear jay say "why not, he's asking for a ass kicking" I say "no no no your staying with me" he says as he pulls me in front of him and holds onto me. "Your gonna let him talk about me like that?" I ask as I turn to look at him "hails let's be real are either of us going to get past Kev and Voight? I doubt it" he chuckles as he pulls me into a hug "you know non of that is true anyway, we just have to try and ignore the son of a bitch" he says as he kisses my forehead and I turn back around to look at him.
"Are you gonna tell us anything" Adam ask impatiently "nope" he says with a stupid grin on his face. They both stand up and walk outside of the room, we all head back into the bullpen to talk. "Looks like this case is going to be unsolved" Adam sighs "Yep we don't know where Mark has gone, all of his crew are dead and the only guy we have won't speak" Voight says "so we let him go?" I ask annoyed "no we can arrest him for attempted murder, robbery and assaulting a police officer" Voight says.
I know he's right but it's just annoying when you can't make a case you know. "Right get him down in lock up and wait from him to be taken away" Voight orders as he heads into his office. I sit down in my chair as Adam and Kevin go to get Rodrigues, I feel Kim come up behind me and place a hand on my shoulder. I look up to her and smile as she goes to sit down in her chair.
I open up my computer and start to type my statement of all the events that have happened today. I look up to see Jay doing the same and I smile as I watch him keep his concentration face on. He looks so focus as he quickly types up his report but he catches me watching him, he just tilts his head and smiles at me with a confused look on his face. I look back down at my computer, biting my lip as I think about what is happening when we get home.
5 hours later
We get home and I throw all of my stuff on the worktop then I remove my shoes and jacket. I look over to Jay who looks tired as he sits down on the couch and turns the Tv on. I walk up behind him and lean down toward his neck, I place a kiss there the move up "I believe I owe you a shower" I whisper in his ear and he turns to look at me quickly. I start to walk upstairs and I hear the Tv turn off as someone chases after me.
We rush into the bathroom and I turn the shower on, looking at him as I start to remove my clothes. We both strip down and I take my hair out, letting it fall down my back as we head into the hot steamy shower. The warm covering our body's as we pull each other closer, merging our bodies together as he leans in and kisses me.
"Mmmm" I moan into his lips as he kisses me intensely, pushing me back into the wall as he tightens his grip around my waist. "Best shower ever" he whispers which makes me chuckle "yes it is" I say. This is just bliss, I love every second I spend with this man. I just wish we could stay here forever.
