Chapter 33: night at mine

Jays POV
I kept looking over my monitor and watching Hailey, she was so lost in thought and was just staring. Her blue eyes were staring at the wall as if it was the most interesting thing ever. I watch her for a bit longer to see if she would notice me but she didn't even bat an eye. I see Kim in my eye level across from me watching her as well and when we make eye contact she just shrugged her shoulders. I look at the time on my watch and I decide to go make us cup of coffee.

I walk over to her desk and she blinks a couple of times then looks over to me, "you sure you okay?" I asks as I places her cup down on her desk "yeah, thank you" She smiles as she pick her pen back up and carry on writing in her reports. I watch her a bit as I head back to my seat but then I get back to work.

The time slowly passes by as we all finish up our cases, I was first to finish mine and I closed it all up and away. I walk over to Hailey and lean behind her, I place a kiss on the top of her head and breathe in the strong sent of rose coming from her hair, she tilts her head back and looks at me "hey, you nearly done?" I ask "nearly" she sighs as she smiles at me before looking back at her file.

2 hour later

"Well I could use a drink anyone else?" Kevin asks and we all chuckle "definitely "Hailey says. I stand up and put my jacket on that was behind my chair and turn off my computer. I clear the spare files off my desk walk over to Hailey who is putting her jacket on. "You want to join us Sarge?" Adam asks "nah you guys go, see you Monday" He says as he walks back into his office, closing the door behind him. "Ohh that's right we have a weekend off" Hailey whispers to me as we start to leave the bullpen "umm I wonder what we could do?" I chuckle back quietly "I have a few ideas" she says as she kisses my neck. The sweet touch of her lips made me smile as she wraps her arms around mine as we catch up to everyone else.

As we entered Molly's we were welcomed by the warmth and happiness of ever in the bar, everyone was laughing and having a good time as we went to a table. Kevin and I went and bought the first rounds of beers while Hailey was chatting with Kim and Adam. The girls couldn't be more happy, they were just laughing and having so much fun, we all were, just enjoying each other's company.

The time goes by quick as we all sit there drinking and laughing with each other. Hailey was just enjoying herself and having the best time. I couldn't stop watching her she was just so full of light and laughter. She was just the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life, seeing her smile makes my heart race and her laugh, ohh it's just contagious to anyone who hears it. Theses are the nights I enjoy the most, you go out and let the steam off from the week that you have had. You relax and enjoy your free time with everyone.

Hailey's POV
"Hey do you guys wanna head back to ours for more drinks?" I ask "yeah sounds fun" everyone said as we gathered all of our stuff. We pay Stella for the drinks then all walk outside into the nice peaceful night. We were still laughing all the way as we walk back to mine and Jays apartment. I was so happy in this moment, everything was just perfect.

Once we get home we all sit on the couch and pull some chairs round. I got the whiskey from the cupboard and beers from the fridge, I lay it out on the coffee table and then grab some glasses. While we were all drinking I got some popcorn and crisp and put them on the coffee table as well, we just picked back up our conversation and carried on having a great night.

"Well this weekend is supposed to have great weather so why don't we all do something?" Kevin suggest "Ohh yeah guys I have this amazing spot on the beach, we could head out for the night and camp there?" Adam suggests and to be honest it actually sounded like fun, I mean we all had the weekend off. "Is is a private kind of spot?" Kim asks "yeah no one really knows about it or goes there" Adam says so we all agreed that it was a good idea. And after hours of talking and drinking we were all a little too wasted to be going home, especially this late so Jay suggested that they all stay here tonight.

Kevin was first to call it a night and I showed his where he was staying. After he was all set he went to sleep in the guest room while we all stayed down stairs still chatting with each other. After I finished off the rest of my whiskey I place the glass down on the coffee table and look over to Kim "I am getting tired now so do want some pjs?" I ask as I rub my eyes "Ohh yeah that would be great" she says as we both start to head upstairs and into our room leaving Adam and Jay talking about sports.

"So how are you and Adam getting on?" I ask as I start to wash my makeup off "great actually, and Jay jeez he couldn't barely take his eyes off you for a second" she chuckles and so do I "he's just- ohh he's amazing" I smile as I think about him "god look at you all smitten, you can get that smile off your face" she chuckles as I blush. "I have never felt this happy in my life, I have everything that I have ever wanted" I say as I brush my hair. I change into a pair of shorts and one of jays hoodies, which is so big that it is like a oversized dress. Once Kim is changed as well I take the blankets from our bed and we head back downstairs.

Jay goes upstairs and changes into his joggers and a T-shirt before heading back down stairs. Jay and I cuddled up on the left side of the couch with a duvet as Adam and Kim go down the right side of the couch. "We are going to be so hungover tomorrow" I chuckle tiredly and I hear everyone giggle as well "well the cure will be the beach" Adam groans back. I crawl out for Jays warm embrace and turn all the lights off and check the door, "everything okay?" Jay asks sleepily as I navigate my way back to him in the dark room. "Yep all good" I whisper back as I cuddle back up to him. His arms immediately wrapping round my waist like it a reflex of his, the tight grip pulling me closer to him as I snuggle into him as well. "Night" I whisper as I close my eyes and start to drift off slowly falling into my deep sleep.

**Sorry it has taken so long and that this chapter is really crappy but I have been really stressed and sad lately so I have not been able to find motivation. Hope you guys are still enjoying it thought, I promise big things are coming to this story. Xx**
