"Okay ladies, I think I'm ready for the house tour. It sure is a beautiful and cozy place you two got here,"

"Thank you, would you like anything to drink?" Andy asked me, a small smile appearing on her face. However, this time something felt different about her smile; It felt forced.

"No, that's alright. I'll take something after the tour of the place, thank you," I smiled back at her, and reached for her hand.

"Alright, let's start with the master bedroom and work our way out, yeah?" Brexley cuts in.

"Yeah, sounds good," I replied, ready to see their place. Something seemed off with Andy, I'm not sure what it was, but she seemed really upset. I'm going to get down to the bottom of things soon enough.

"Follow me," I followed Brexley towards the bedroom that my best friend shares with her, with my arm linked through Andy's. Brexley was just going on and on about the history of the house, which I was trying to stay interested, but she eventually lost me along the way somewhere. Soon we reached their shared bedroom but she walked us to the bathroom first.

"Here's the bathroom. Glass shower in the corner there, then a nice little separate bathtub over here, then the sink and toilet. I love this bathroom,"

"It's beautiful, I need something like this," I said, giggling.

"As you saw through here was the bedroom, with our bed. We got our own walk-in closets, which is pretty awesome,"

After an hour of messing around with little things we found in their bedroom, we decided to finish up the rest of the house tour, because we had been distracted plenty long enough, and we needed something to eat as well.

"How about I make us a lovely lunch. Blue, Andrea told me that you really like crab dishes, so we thought we'd take it upon ourselves to get fresh crab, and make some for us all to have for lunch as a special dish,"

"That sounds lovely, Brexley,"

"Cheesy crab with some garlic right?" Andy asked, grabbing everything that she needed to for the preparation.

"You know me best, Andy."

"Always have, always will,"

"So tell me Brexley, when did you and Andy move in together?" I asked Brexley as she was helping Andy prep the food.

I watched Andy's body tense up, which meant something was really going on here in this relationship, and it was about to end right here if I could catch Brexley in the act of it. Or I was poorly mistaken, and Andy just wasn't ready to have a conversation about her moving in with Brexley yet, it's a possibility there's something that makes her uncomfortable, maybe? I'll keep an eye on it either way.

"Well, actually we haven't moved in together yet officially. This is actually Andy's house, she owns it, but I stay here all the time, I practically live here, and I help pay part of the bills so I might as well live here. Just haven't made it official until we're fully sure of it,"

"Understandable, I don't judge that. You two move at your own timeline, don't let anyone else rush you, or stop you. As long as you're treating my best friend right, because I may be some journalist to you, but I wouldn't underestimate me either. My best friend has been through enough in her life time, I don't want anyone else wasting her time, or hurting her. She deserves someone that's going to match the same energy, and effort that she puts out. So when she's trying her hardest, you better be too. She deserves it,"

"Absolutely. Things have been pretty rough for us lately. Not relationship wise in the slightest, but we lost someone a few months back very close, very dear to the both of us in ways nobody could ever imagine, and it's taken a pretty big toll on us. Things just haven't been normal for us, at all. All we want to do is wake up, and see that person there but we know that's not going to happen,"

"I'm so sorry to hear that. May I ask who it was?"

"That we're not ready to reveal yet. Nobody knew but us and that person's family of course, but that's it. We just haven't fully recovered from their passing yet," Andy responded. "So if I seem off, then that's why, I just want you to know that,"

"I completely understand, and no matter what whenever you want to talk about it then I am here. Always, You know that. I'm really sorry for your loss, and I hope that both of you can find peace in this person's death, as well as find the necessary steps to the correct recovery to heal from their passing. I hope that with time, you will soon be able to open up, and that you will come to me, when you are ready. I will always be there whenever you are. I could never turn my back on you,"

"Thank you, Blue. You're really the best, I love you so much,"

"I love you too, Andy. You've always got me, no matter what."

Once I had been enlightened about as to why my best friend seemed off, and we had a very nice heartfelt talk, the three of us engaged in amazing conversations, while chipping in to make our lunch served with bottles of wine.

"This is gonna be so good, I can't wait to eat it!" I exclaimed to my two friends as we all downed yet another glass of wine. We were all three probably going to be drunk by the time lunch is even over, but that's okay, because if it helps these two cope with whatever it is that they're going through than who am I to keep that from them?

They're two very responsible adult women, who go to work, pay their bills, and take care of their duties before engaging in adult leisure activities off the clock, so I really don't see the problem here. As long as nobody is driving anywhere, and the three of us stay exactly where we are, then we can't get in trouble for anything.
