"Ms. Ivy, hey could I have a word before you leave?" I heard Cillian's voice call out to me as I had been walking out of the conference room.
"What's up, Cillian?"
"Are we still going to go over my article?"
"Yes. But I am unable to do it today, I'm personally going to give you an extension, because I gave you my word that I'd help you. My assistant was supposed to talk with you, and schedule a day that works for both of us, so if you get with her, she can help you with that."
"Awesome, that sounds perfect. Thank you, Blue." He said, parting ways with me. I quickly made my way out of the office, and to my car checking my phone to make sure the boys didn't need me to pick up anything before heading back to the house to get ready.
As far as I could see, Kale nor Mason had left me a text saying they needed anything, so I decided to text them to double check, in case they forgot to message me.
Nope we got everything we need! We just need you to get here and get all prettied up, so that we can complete the process :)
Okay, sounds great to me! I am on my way home now. I called it an early day because well, I have other things to do. I do still have a social life, whether my employees believe that or not is another story. Lol
With that I started my thirty minute commute home, so that I could get ready for the engagement party. I was super excited for the boys, and I was even more honored to be handing Kale off to Mason at the wedding.
That was a big ask, especially because Kale also had Andy too. She was pretty upset that he didn't ask her, but they had been on pretty rough grounds causing him to not want to ask her, which caused even more animosity between the two. Then it caused animosity between me and her too because I accepted the offer.
I love both of my best friends, and I will tell them when they are wrong, and at that moment in time, Andy was in the wrong. She said things to Kale that had been completely uncalled for, she even had a pretty low blow. So, I can understand where Kale was coming from. It was a nasty situation, but I'm hoping that he can forgive her enough to atleast have her at his wedding.
I know what she said was nasty, and myself I personally think, pretty unforgiveable but it was worth a shot; however I wasn't going to make Kale have her there if he wasn't ready for that yet, but I was afraid that this was a huge moment he needed his sister for and neither of them would get it back. They would also live to regret it in the future years to come.
I pulled into the driveway of the home that I used to own and love so very much. I still loved this home, but it just wasn't for me at this stage in my life anymore. I quickly made my way inside the house, the boys meeting me at the door with a bag.
"This is your dress, and you are going to go take a shower, then get ready. We will help you,"
"Why are you helping me get ready for a party that is for you guys?"
"Because without you this wouldn't be happening,"
"What do you mean by that? Mason was in your life for awhile long before I even met him. How do I have anything to do with it?"
"Without your help, this party and this wedding wouldn't be amazing without you,"
"You guys are crazy, but okay I need to go get ready. I'm running out of time!" I exclaimed to them trying to get a move on everything. Tonight was a big night for them, and they are trying to make it about me, when it very much has nothing to do with me.
"Let's get you ready then, because you're super unready." Mason chimed in.
"Then I suppose I better go get ready then, so you guys can help me with my make-up,"
