"Blue, you better wake up, it's breakfast time," I heard a very familiar female voice. I lifted my head up from my bed quickly, only to find my best friend, Andy and her older brother Kale standing at the foot of my bed. I give them a funny look.

I rolled my eyes, and laid my head back down onto the bed, slowly allowing my eyes to shut. I'm exhausted, and for some reason I don't feel so good this morning.

"Okay well while you take forever I'm making breakfast, also if you fall back asleep, I'll wake you. By the way Kale will be joining us today, he was my ride here." Andy said clapping her hands, then walking towards my bedroom door, her heels clicking on the wooden floor.

"You better sit down on this bed and pretend you love your best friend, Andy." I say before she has a chance to actually leave the room.

Her heels stop clicking for a moment, then begin clacking again faster this time, Andy landing on my bed. "Are you alive?" She asked giggling.

"Sort of. I'm still waking up but I'll get there. How have you been?" I asked her, only to receive a heavy sigh. I open my eyes, and look up at her, knowing that meant something was going on and she'd been waiting awhile to tell me about it.

"Alright spill it, because I know that sigh."

"Well, I've been seeing someone recently, but I haven't told anyone yet because I wanted to tell you first, and because I wanted to know that this was going to go somewhere before I got all excited about it. I really do like this someone though."

"Guy or girl?"

"Girl."

"Ooo, well I met a guy last night and he gave me his number but I haven't texted him yet or anything, I was up all night working on my article. I finally got it where I wanted it to be, at first I loved it, then I read it and made some changes; So many changes, but finally it's up to my standards of perfection, but let's hope Analise likes it too so that I can publish it." I say smiling at her.

"That's good, but you should text this guy. What's his name?"

"Kane, but about you. Why were you sighing so heavily, that sounds like there's something more, so hit me with it, I want to know."

"We should catch up more over breakfast, yeah?"

"Yeah okay sure," I replied quickly getting up out of my comfy bed, instantly feeling the cold air of my air conditioner, giving me small goosebumps on my arms.

"Hello, Kale." I said to my best friends brother standing there watching every move I make.

"Blue,"

"Sorry you're stuck here big guy, I know there's better things you could be doing than hanging out with two grown women, talking about guys and girl stuff all day long." I said patting his shoulder and walking past him towards my kitchen, Andy hot on my heels.

"I'm making breakfast. You sit and talk to me, we can catch up just like old times," Andy said.

"Yes Captain, I need my coffee first though," I replied grabbing out a coffee mug, and starting my Keurig.

"Okay, so let me tell you about this girl I've been seeing, her name is Brexley, she's an Optometrist back home in Knoxville. We met at Kale's engagement party."

"Kale's engaged! Kale why didn't you tell me that!?" I asked now intrigued at the new information.

"I'll tell you the story, how we met, how I proposed, first date all the details when Andy's finished telling you about Brexley first,"

"Deal. Okay Andy love please continue,"

"Anyways, we decided that we would exchange numbers, which turned to a coffee date, then it turned into bigger dates, now we're staying at each others houses, we just haven't made it official to anyone until I told you first. She respected me enough for that, and before you ask no she hasn't pressured me into doing this, I'm doing it because I'm ready to make things official with her, but since you're my best friend, you needed to know first, before anyone,"

"I'm so happy for you, Andy! Please once you make it official I would absolutely LOVE to meet her!" I said excitedly.

"That means a lot coming from you, Blue. Kane you may now have your turn for tea time," Andy said.

Kane chuckles a little, but makes his way to a spot at the island.

"Well, I met this guy about three years ago, we met at his parents cocktail party they were having for the firm. Turns out the owner is his father, but I didn't know that until a year ago, I almost shit myself honestly. Anyways, we started seeing a lot of each other around the office, so we eventually decided to go on a date, and that turned into more dates, which turned into being official, then that turned into staying at each others houses, bringing each other lunch at work because he switched jobs so he could go back to school, and I'm fully supportive of it and super proud of him, eventually everything turned into me proposing last year, after asking him to move in with me." He stops for a brief moment to take a deep breath, allowing me to process everything at that moment, but I know he's not finished yet. "There's a small downside recently, the wedding is coming up, we had the engagement party about four months ago, but he's talking about maybe wanting to move the wedding another two years out and I don't want that. I love him, and I would love for you to meet him,"

"Yes, Kale I'd love to meet him. I would happily meet him you can bring him down here anytime, you both are always welcome in my home, just call me a day or two ahead of time so I know when to be home, also I changed the locks recently, so I figured maybe after breakfast we can go make new keys for you guys?"

"That'd be awesome, Blue. So now you tell us about this Kane guy," Kale said chuckling quickly adapting to 'girl time' with us.

"I wanna say one more thing before I do, Kale when did you come out? I knew already, I saw it from a mile away, but that doesn't change the fact that we're family, I fully support you and love you regardless, I just want to know,"

"Around the time Mason and I got together," He smiles.

"I'm so happy for you, Mason will come around,"

"Okay okay enough about me, let's hear about you,"

"Nothing to really tell about me. I just met Kane last night, I only have his number but I'm not ready for that yet. I just don't know if I really want to be tied to anyone right now, I like what I'm doing and I'm trying to focus on my career right now,"

"It's just a text, you might be surprised," Andy replies while making the bacon.

"Okay I will text him and see what happens," With that I grab out my phone and the piece of paper with Kane's number on it. I typed it into my phone, then began typing a message to Kale.

Hey! It's Blue from the Festival, I decided I should text you now

It's about time, I was wondering when you were gonna text me! What's up?

"He texted me back! That was fast,"

"What did he say?"

"I told him Hey its Blue from the festival, I decided I should text you now. And he said, It's about time I was wondering when you were gonna text me! What's up?"

"Be honest tell him what you're doing"

I'm just chillin with my best friends, they came up from Knoxville to visit, you?"

Just chilling, got the day off work to relax. So tell me more about you Blue, I'm interested, however I'll let you get back to that, I've got your number now so we can finish this conversation later.
