Chapter Nineteen: First Date With Kane

Once I made it to the end of the hallway, I am met with a very nicely dressed man who has a bouquet of roses, and a huge smile plastered on his face; The same smile I saw when I conversed with him at the festival. 

"You look so gorgeous , Blue. These are for you," 

"Thank you so much, Kane. You look really nice, and these are gorgeous!" I replied as he handed me the flowers. Brexley then grabs the flowers from me. 

"I'll put them in water for you love," 

"Thank you, boo."

"Howdy, I'm Kane it's nice to meet you. Who do I have the pleasure of meeting?"

"I'm Andrea, Blue's best friend, it's nice to meet you,"

"It's very nice to meet you, Andrea," Kane replied, reaching out his hand to shake hers.

"Alright, you two go on and have some fun tonight! The door will be open when you get back, just lock the door behind you," Brexley chimed in from behind me causing me to jump a little at her voice. 

"Damn, I didn't even hear you walk back into the living room Brexley," I responded chuckling a little bit. 

"I'm sorry didn't mean to scare you," 

"You're good, you ready Kane?" 

"Yes, shall we?" He asked putting his arm out for me to link mine through. 

"Let's," I replied, sliding my arm through his, and walking with him to the car, the girls yelling 'Bye' and 'Have Fun' from the front door. 

We arrived at the car, Kane un-linking our arms, and opening the car door for me. 

"My lady," 

"Thank you," I smiled, getting into the passenger seat. Kane closes the door behind me, then goes over to the driver side, getting into the car next to me. 

"So I have a big first date planned for us, even though we only met a few days ago," Kane said breaking the silence. 

"Oh and where is it that you're taking me?" I asked, my curiosity peaking at this point. 

"It's a surprise, so how about we talk a little. Promise we will be there really soon," He replied. 

"Okay so what do you want to talk about?" I asked, curious about what he's going to talk about. 

"Let's play twenty questions, yeah? I'll start off with simple basic questions, then we can go deeper if we so choose," 

"Okay, I like that idea. I'm a curious kitty so I'll happily answer anything you ask, as long as I'm comfortable,"

"Sounds like a plan; So first question, what's your favorite color?" 

"Wow, really basic question," I answered chuckling. "My favorite color is Blue. All shades of. What about you?"

"Red and black, and well of course camo," He chuckled, his laugh ringing through my ears. 

"Okay my turn. What is your favorite food?" 

"I'll eat anything, but my favorite is probably steak or chinese. You?"

"Chinese is one of the favorites, but the top favorite I'd have to say is probably deer honestly,"

"Okay so you're definitely not a city girl, alright next question, what is your favorite song?" 

"Oo, that's a difficult one, can we come back to that later, after I've had some time to think that one out?" I asked him, his eyes focused on the road.
