"So we have prepared a nice little appetizer here, while we prepare the main dish here, because this is a big thing for us and we wanted to really go all out on the dinner for you, Blue. You approval is really important to me, to us." Kale said to me, as he showed me the veggie and fruit trays of food on the island.

"Kale, I really appreciate that, this is amazing. What kind of fruits and veggies you got here?"

"Oh, I'm glad you asked!" Mason chimed in excitedly

"That's kind of my loves expertise," Kale chuckled, lighting up watching Mason begin to explain what they have set up.

"Okay, to start as you can see on all of these trays they are all different shades of Blue, because well Kale says that is also your favorite color, is it not?"

"Yes, it is,"

"Okay good, well okay on this first tray the sky blue tray, we did the red fruits, strawberries, cherries, grapes, and watermelons; then on the navy blue try we have the green fruits which are the kiwis, green grapes, starfruit, and pears; on the baby blue tray we have the veggies tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, radishes, cauliflower, and olives. Then over here we have a nacho tray because we aren't complete health freaks you know,"

"That's good to know, because I rarely ever eat healthy myself. I do like to eat healthy every once in awhile, I just don't like paying the prices for healthy food honestly,"

"I can understand that, we usually only like to buy it for special occasions if I'm being honest,"

"I agree, So Mason tell me a little bit about you, what is it that made my best friend fall in love with you? Give me something to be approving of,"

"You want to know directly what I fell in love with, Blue? I fell in love with the person who brought out the best in me. Who helped me come out to my family, and friends. Who seen a person in me that I didn't,"

DING!

"Oh that's the timer!" Kale said jumping and spinning on his heel and grabbing the food out of the oven. Placing the food on the stove and giving me a warm smile, Kale looks at me with a pleading look.

"You made homemade ravioli,"

"I know that my homemade ravioli my mom used to make when we were all kids was your favorite meal, lucky for you it's also mine and Mason's as well; Like I said, I really wanted to go all out for you tonight, getting your approval at the end of the night is the biggest thing to me tonight; and Andy was going to be here, but she texted me last minute but she couldn't because she had a work thing come up, and Brexley had a family emergency so I guess you might not get to meet Brexley this time,"

"That's okay, there's plenty of time to meet Brexley, but for now I am going to spend this time with you and Mason, I kind of assumed that it was going to be just us because of your text to me earlier,"

"Yeah, I had asked her first if they wanted to have dinner with it being all of us them included too, that's when she told me about her being called into work and having to work tonight, and Brexley being out of town due to the family thing so I ended up texting you asking you to just have dinner with it being just the three of us,"

"Yeah, that makes sense. Well, regardless I'm glad that you asked either way. Besides, so far I think Mason's quite the sweetheart here, and from what I can see so far here, he makes you very happy, and I think I know what needs to be said here, even before the end of the night,"

"Oh no, Blue you don't have t-"

"Dinner is ready to be served my two lovelies!" Mason called through the apartment interrupting our conversation.

"We will finish this later," I said turning around to go to the table where Mason stood waiting for us. There sat three wine glasses, three plates, two bottles of wine, a couple of candles, and some table settings to pull it all together. In the center between the three spots where the three of us will be eating, sat the homemade ravioli's that Kale made.

"Blue, I would love it if you sat right here in between Kale and myself, it would mean a lot please,"

"This is for the man of the house, Mason; I couldn't do that,"

"Well, tonight you're our special guest, and well let's face it, tonight you're the woman of the house, so this is your spot for tonight,"

"I'd be honored to take this seat, Mason," I responded, only to see his and Kale's faces light up with huge smiles from ear to ear. Mason pulled the chair out for me allowing me to sit down, and kindly pushed it in for me. "Thank you, Mason."

"Oh you're very welcome, now your turn to sit down my love," Mason said to Kale.

Mason then made his way over to the chair he was having Kale sit in, and pulled it out so Kale obliged, and sat down, amusing Mason. Mason now pleased with us sitting, makes his way back to his chair, sitting down too;

"So, Blue I've gotten to hear things about you from Kale, but now that you're here, I've literally only gotten to hear you question me about stuff. You the source herself is here, and I myself have so many freaking questions, I would love to ask some, may I?"

"Yes, please of course,"

"Okay my first question is, what is that you truly do for a living? Kale said that you write, but he didn't say what exactly,"

"I'm a journalist, for Country Music Artist magazine, my boss is Analise Ramirez, she actually just recently sent me on a job where I wrote an article about the Country Music Festival last night, and that was really fun, but I had to send the article to her for proofreading before I can send it to my editors, and I'm spiraling; I've got so much anxiety about it, this trip has been helping me distract myself from it because my boss has me going crazy waiting for it, new question please girl I'm begging," With that I stopped, my eyes widening at Mason realizing I just called him girl totally freaking out inside. Not every gay guy likes to be called that, some take offense, and I literally think I just crossed a line.

"Holy Shit, Blue." Kale says

"Mason, I'm so sorry, Oh my God, Uhm, I'm going to see myself out,"

"No, do you realize, how long he's been waiting to hear someone call him that?"

"What?" I asked surprised now.

"I've been waiting forever for someone to call me that, like years now. None of my friends will ever call me that, because they think I take offense to it, and I don't know why. I've told them time and time again upfront I don't, but they still won't, and it just rolled right off your tongue nonchalantly like it was natural and nothing. I like that, you have my approval way more than ever now. You're literally my new bestie now. Kale's my best friend and husband to be, your my new bestie. Deal?"

"Deal. Listen you guys I need to tell you something, because I've been waiting to tell you and I think now is as good as any at this point."

"Okay, is everything alright?"

"Yes, everything is actually perfect right now you guys. Mason and Kale, tonight when I watched the two of you this evening talk on the sofa, Kale apologizing, and Mason you bringing up the most precious moment, wanting to move the wedding because of how much you love him, I watched both of you fall in love with each other all over again, but in a different way. There's many different ways that you can fall in love with a person, this was one of them, and I've had my approval from that moment. Kale and Mason, I one hundred percent whole-heartedly give both of you, my approval, right here right now; Tonight."
