"Hmmm..." Luz pondered, tapping the pencil against her lip. "Hey, Hooty?"
Immediately upon hearing his name, Hooty poked his head out from outside and into the open window, a big smile on his face.
"Hooty, reporting for duty!"
"Do you think this looks like Amity at all?" She asked, holding up a sketch of Amity to show to Hooty. "I've been working on my art lately and I thought Amity would be the perfect model because I've never drawn her before! I also wanted to give her a gift for when she comes over today!"
"You know, I am quite the model too!" Hooty said proudly, putting his hand on his chest.
"I'm sure you are, Hooty." Luz smiled, shaking her head as she put her drawing back down onto the floor.
"Geez, Luz." Lucía groaned from the couch, rolling her eyes as she then threw a paper airplane she had made at Luz's head. "You've been all over Amity since you guys became friends. I swear, I'm starting to think that trapping you two in your room was a bad idea."
"Well, thanks to you, I now have a best friend, so I would say that's a pretty big win for me! Be happy for me!" Luz smiled widely, sticking her tongue out at Lucía as she grabbed onto the paper airplane and carefully set it aside.
"I am happy for you, I'm just kidding." She smirked, putting down her phone. "And you're hanging out with Amity again today? What is this, the fourth time this week?"
"Nope! The fifth!" Luz happily said, an idea immediately striking her as she ran over to the kitchen and came back with two juice boxes, setting it down next to her drawing.
Lucía looked to Luz and laughed as she rolled her eyes, shaking her head.
"You are such a nerd, Luz. Geez, with all your rambling about your little 'best friend', you might as well tell everyone you're dating, too."
As soon as Lucía said that, she noticed a clear lack of any remarks from Luz or any pencil movements, sending something over her as she looked back down at Luz in worry and confusion.
"Uh, yeah, no." Luz said with an eyebrow raised, letting out a small laugh as she looked back down at her paper. "Amity is my only friend and we're just Azura lovers. We're friends, Lucía."
She shook her head.
"Besides, I haven't even known her that long. I am pretty content where I am, dear lovesick sister. Lucky for me, I am not as hopeless as you are!"
"Oh, yeah." Lucía just nodded, focusing back on her phone as she smirked. "I'm the hopeless one, not the person who can't admit when she has a little crush on one of the only other people on this Earth who loves Azura just as much as she does."
"I wouldn't be talking, Lucía. Are you going to admit you have a crush on Amelia?"
