Okay.

Not only was Lucía's back killing her, but her head was too.

The past couple of days were incredibly different, who could blame her?

To start off, Amity and her siblings explained to Eda that they were kicked out of their home with nowhere to go. With no intention behind their words, they intended to leave the morning after Eda let them stay for their sleepover, but Eda, being informed of the situation and her being in a somewhat similar situation in the past herself, she offered to let the three of them stay with her and her family.

While Amity hesitated and tried to stay humble as she declined, Edric and Emira both nodded and agreed to stay there whilst they thanked Eda endlessly. After some consideration, Amity agreed aswell, and, in private, she did the same, thanking Eda for her kindness and her endless support.

But ever since then, Lucía had oh so generously let Ed and Em use the couch to sleep on instead of her. And while they rested on the incredibly comfy and outright beautiful couch, Lucía was left with the most horrible excuse for a mattress. On the floor.

And what happened to Amity?

Well, Eda decided it was of best interest for her to sleep in Luz's room, since the two of them were about the same age, and instead of a mattress or anything better, Amity had chose a leftover sleeping mat that Eda had lying around herself.

So what came of this?

A lot more of a compact household.

"Uggh-" Lucía averted her eyes and groaned. It hurt to even move, let alone focus on the things around her, so her morning was starting out just wonderful.  "Jesus Christ, why does this mattress have to suck fucking ass?!"

And like the world just wanted to give Lucía the biggest middle finger on the planet, King, who was sleeping on her stomach, got frightened by the sudden outburst, and, on instinct, jumped up and scratched Lucía on the side of her cheek.

"GAH!" Lucía hissed back in pain, immediately pressing her hand up to her now claw-marked cheek.

She traced her fingers over the claw marks, feeling the imprints King had left.

"Ow, damnit King..." She muttered, feeling the tiny bits of blood on her fingers as she rubbed her index finger, her middle finger, and thumb together, its texture shining in a red glow. "Geez, King- If I didn't know any better, I would have tooken you for a cat." She retorted back, only getting a growl from King as a reply.

"Alright, mister grumpy. Didn't mean to interrupt the king's beauty sleep. I'm sorry, your lazy highness." Lucía exaggerated her words, only receiving the silent treatment from her little friend as he circled around on the mattress and sat, beginning to drift off again.

Pulling the sheets off of her, Lucía then stood up, revealing her in a black tank top and some dark green sweatpants, her messy hair adding onto her whole look.

"Oh, leave him alone. Not his fault some angry demon decided to scream him awake." Eda's voice rang out from inside the kitchen, startling Lucía for a quick second.

"Oh puh-lease, Edalyn." Lucía made her way inside the kitchen and sat down on one of the dining table chairs closest to her, making herself comfortable. "I wasn't even that loud. Maybe if I actually had a decent mattress to sleep on, I wouldn't be some 'angry demon screaming pure agony'."

"Eda, Lucía. And don't put the blame on me, kid, you're the one who offered to sleep on the mattress instead of the green-heads, not me." Eda then began to make her way over to the dining table, sitting down on a chair next to Lucía.
