Knock, knock, knock, knock
Luz immediately woke up from her tiny sleep at the sound of someone at the door, and as she groaned into her pillow, she then sluggishly sat herself up with the world around her still processing.
"Ay dios mio, who has visitors at this time?" Luz spoke as a yawn came in-between her words, and with a silence coming afterwards, Luz's eyes quickly started drooping down and she fell back-
Knock, knock, knock, knock
The knocking came back, but at a slightly harder force and a quicker pace, and Luz flinched as she hurried to get up up.
"I'm coming, I'm coming!" Luz walked over to the front door and put her hand on the door knob. She twisted it and pulled it her way, the door opening with the dark and pretty outside in view.
"Can I help you-"
The figures that stood in front of Luz had made her eyes widen, her mouth open slightly, and all her exhaustion to just poof.
"Oh."
Amity, Edric, and their sister, Emira, stood in front of her. The three of them were drenched in rain as their overall look was just...
Weak.
"Amity..." Luz spoke, and she almost looked down, but with a pair of legs behind Amity, her eyes darted back up. "Edric, Emira, you two are here." She put an arm over her other arm that was grabbing the right side of her rib and began grabbing the elbow part of the arm, looking a bit off to the side while she just barely bit her lip.
"I can't believe you actually answered." Amity spoke out of breath, her hands that were rubbing her arms coming back at a slow pace. There was hope seeping into her words. Hope.
"Hey."
Luz looked up at Amity and she internally groaned, leaning back just a little bit.
"Did you need something?" Luz went straight to the point, and before darting her eyes to the side, she noticed Amity's puffy and red eyes. Had she been crying beforehand?
No, no, she had no reason to have that thought in her mind. Amity hurt her. A lot. It hurt and continues to hurt. Luz has no reason to give Amity any sympathy and she's lucky to have Luz even talking to her.
It hurts, it hurts. This all hurts.
"Why did you come here?"
"Right, I-I just wa..." Amity looked down at the ground and her voice wavered into nothing. The world around her began fading into nothing as her mind wandered elsewhere. She could not even continue her speech. She couldn't even say a few-
