The raindrops repeatedly hit the road as Lucía kept running, kept pushing through.

She could feel her legs beginning to give out, but it didn't matter.

What mattered was where she was going.

Tears were rolling down the sides of her cheeks faster than she could wipe them away, which was something Lucía never had to do.

The emotions she was feeling completely baffled her.

Lucía's eyes shot open as she sat up, loud uneasy breaths escaping her as she stared forward.

As she began to try and lift her arm up to her forehead, immediately, she felt something block her movement.

She lifted back up again and looked down to see what the problem was.

"Oh." Her eyes widened.

Amelia wrapped around her was the problem.

Lucía began to stare before laying back down, groaning as she took a deep breath.
