Knock, Knock, Knocking It Out of the Park

Her feet planted against the wooden flooring, and while the place was super familiar, the scenery around her just made her feel sick to her stomach.

Her minty green hair blew with the slight drizzle of wind and made her arms shiver with the cold air.

It was the middle of summer, why was it cold in the middle of summer?

Amity sighed and looked down at the flooring, the sweet scent hitting her nose as the little welcoming mat only chilled her nerves even more. She couldn't stand the sight and looked back up at the white, wooden door, the added smell of wood and slight hint of paint adding to the grassy and forest-y smell.

She hesitantly brought her closed fist up to the door and shut her eyes tight, biting the inside of her lip.

"Just get it over with, Amity. Knock."

And so she did.

Three times.

As time passed, she got no response.

Amity opened up her eyes and gave the door a look of concern.

"I mean, I did knock on it pretty softly, of course they didn't hear me, I should-" and before Amity could get another knock in, the door had opened to reveal a pretty hefty man, most likely in his 30s or 40s, crossing his arms with the appearance of his dark, overgrown beard being one of the first things Amity had seen, with the addition of a tiny patch of hair on the top of his head.

"Hi, is-"

SLAM!

Amity looked at the now closed door with widened eyes and a slightly opened mouth, the sudden door slam not even processing yet in her head.

She could hear the faint sound of speaking inside, a small conflict it seemed to be, and after a few moments, another older man, who seemed to be around the same age, opened up the door, his demeanor being much more of a calmer one.

He put his hand on his hip and looked down at the girl with minty hair, and his somewhat calm stance immediately flipped on the much more assertive and protective side.

"Ah, Amity. What a surprise to see you here." The man with slicked back, very dark blue-ish-green-ish hair with glasses looked down at Amity, who seemed to almost immediately recognize the girl as one of the bullies Willow knew.

"Mr. Park, hello, good afternoon." Amity slightly tilted her body forward and went down a bit, coming back up with a solemn expression.

"Please, call me Gilbert." The man, Gilbert, took his hand out and allowed Amity the opportunity to shake his hand, and so she did. Intertwining her hand with his, she held onto his hand, and so did he, giving her a strong, but firm, hold.

"Now, Amity." Gilbert let go of her hand and saw her let it fall to her side. "I'm sure you can notice the elephant in the room, why are you here?"
