Shattered (#1 in Shifting Series)

To Waddle

Sarah felt huge as she waddled down the street.  She had at one time joked about the guys being able to pamper her when she was the size of a side of a house.  She felt like she had reached that day.  She was double the size she had been with Demiana.  Every check-up had been given the pronouncement that both twins were not only very healthy, but a bit larger than most at their growth cycle.  Leave it to her to have monster babies.  She wrinkled her nose.  God, I hope they both won't be ten pounds by the time she had them!  She already felt like she was going to burst out at any moment as the room inside her was almost stuffed to capacity.  The twins were also that day deciding that they were going to do summer saults on her insides.  She had been restless and since Kakashi was at a meeting, she decided to go take a walk into the village.

It seemed like everyone knew who she was at this point.  She had been stopped about a dozen times as she went down the street.  Some predicting the sex of the babies... They had not told anyone what the doctor had said yet.  Others saying that the baby would be gifted like their father and grandfather.  Others wondering if the children would be different since she had not originally been there.  The fact of her origins had slipped out at some point, now everyone knew she was not from this world.  She still was a bit annoyed that someone had let that slip out.  As she continued through the bustling village there was no end to the various things the people had come up with to stop her along the way.  All seemed genuinely excited for them to be born.

Sarah smiled as she rubbed her stomach absently.  They would be having two boys.  She and Kakashi had already decided on their names.  Obito for the first born.  Kakashi had been hesitant with the name, considering the history of the one it had belonged to; however, Sarah had been adamant that his reversal at the end earned him a place of honor in their lives.  He had saved Kakashi in the end, after all.  Kakashi had smiled then agreed, his mind resting on who Obito had been in the beginning and then again at the end.  Tiberius was the name they had chosen for the second born.  They would call Tiberius "Ti" for short.  Sarah still chuckled inside at the name.  It was the nerd in her, but she had always loved James Tiberius Kirk from Star Trek.  She hoped that Tiberius would be just as brave and cunning as the character he would be named after had been on the show.  She omitted where she had come up with the name, feeling like Kakashi would protest if he knew that little bit.  Right now, the two seemed to be in a battle of their own and she winced as she felt a bit of pain from one movement inside.  They were definitely going to be a handful if they were this active already.  She waddled over to Ichiraku's and sat down on one of the bar stools, wincing as she rubbed her belly.

Ayame gave her a concerned look as she came to the counter.  "Are you okay, Sarah?"

"Yeah, little rascals think it's time to fight already," she laughed.  "Can I get a Miso Pork? I might as well eat while I rest."

Ayame set the bowl in front of her and grinned.  "How far along are you now?"

"Eight months," Sarah responded.  "One to go.  I swear, I won't be able to move after a while.  These two are heavy already!"

Ayame laughed and gave a big smile.  "You look beautiful.  I can't wait until I meet a man and have babies."

Sarah smiled before leaning forward, "Have you checked out Yamato yet?  He's a great guy."

Ayame blushed prettily and gave a nervous laugh.  "Oh Sarah, no... I don't think I could date a Shinobi..."

Sarah grinned at the answer, "Ah well, if you change your mind, I'll drag him by here."

Ayame giggled then went off to help her father, Teuchi, in the back.  She really was a sweet girl.  Sarah ate her Ramen, thinking about her new friends in the village.  Sakura and Hinata had both already had their babies.  Sakura had given birth to a dark-haired little girl that they named Sarada.  Hinata, a blond headed little boy they named Boruto.  Both babies were precious but seemed to already have a grudge with each other.  Uzumaki and Uchiha babies already at war with each other.  She chuckled, they would be rivals no doubt but, in the end, would probably be the best of friends like their fathers.  Ino and Sai had given birth to a son, Inojin, that was blond like his mother.  Choji and his wife, Karui, had also had a child.  A little girl that they had named, Chocho.  When they had returned to the village, she had been even more shocked to learn that Temari was pregnant.  She had just given birth to their son, Shikadai, last night.  So many babies in such a short period of time.  It was actually a little funny that all their children would be about the same age and would grow up together.
