Did they know about her blood...?
Did they know about their child...?
Or was it simply something about Bellamy and Kane...?
Quickly she started to make her way back to Roan, feeling anxious and dizzy.
~~~
"Roan...." Meave rushed her way through the last few hallways and found Roan, tripping over her own shoes when she looked a little too long at him.
"Careful." He caught her just in time before she face-planted on the floor and held her hand with his free one, his other arm still full with equipment he needed to bring inside. "You're okay?"
"Yeah.... yeah." She nodded and hastily pushed in the code to the storage room. "Roan, they want to talk to me." She panted, catching her breath a little, and Roam slowly started putting down everything he was holding so he could hold her hips instead.
"Surely it'll be okay, angel."
"I swear they found it out." She whispered and he brought her into a tight embrace.
"Think it from the bright side, Meave." He nuzzled her neck. "Perhaps it is a good thing if a doctor knows about it. She could help you if you need anything or if you have doubts about the baby's health."
"But what about my blood...?" She was terrified of her blood going public. Her whole life had been about hiding it, lying about it, and if she wanted anyone to know it would've been her brother.... Now soon everyone would know except for her brother.... She knew that was her fault, but she never wanted to be seen as some sort of god or experiment. She just wanted to live a normal life.
"She doesn't need to do any blood tests yet. Only if you believe something is wrong."
"Perhaps you are right...." She sighed softly. "Perhaps I should go and see what the chat is about."
"That's my angel." His mouth curled into a small grin and whispered into her ear. "And maybe it's not even about our kid, maybe she's just curious about your physical or mental health."
~~~
Meave nervously looked through the big window before she softly knocked on the door to Becca's office. It took Abby a moment to notice her and then got up, weirdly looking nervous herself too before she pushed those thoughts away and fixed her attitude. She opened the door and smiled sweetly.
"You wanted to see me?"
"Yes, would you like anything to drink?" She helped her in and made her sit down.
"Uh, just some water is fine." She tried to relax in the chair while Abby grabbed some water to quench her thirst.
"Of course it is not my business to ask, but as a doctor and a mother who simply cares about the people around her, I noticed that your habits have changed over the past few months. Habits that normally wouldn't change much over such a short amount of time." She leaned against the desk in front of Meave and she sighed.
She knew damn well her pregnancy was eventually going to become tough to hide, but never did she think it was guessable while she was still in such an early stage. Yes, it was noticeable Roan got more protective over her and she had some changes in her normal day habits, but nothing was really visible yet.
