They were so lucky none of the guards assumed she was in here with him and after the prince was escorted downstairs and she made sure there were no other guards, Meave rolled from underneath his bed and pulled her shirt over her head before climbing from his balcony to hers. Afraid that if she had walked out of the doors like every other person, she would have perhaps been caught by a guard of his.

Meave had asked for a hot bath after 'escaping' from Roan's room to try and warm herself up in it the way her body warmed up when Roan was close to her, but nothing felt the same.
Steam still came from the bath because the hot water reacted with her cold skin and breathing out still caused visible cold air to leave her mouth.
It was still unbelievable to her how quickly one single man could change her life, but it was impossible to forget about him now.
The warming up did help a little and she carefully climbed out of the bath before wrapping a clean towel around her. She then quickly dried herself and wrung out her hair above the tub that was cooling down already, humming to a song that lingered in her head.
"The Dark Angel.... the commander has asked you to come down and join her!" The woman's voice that she heard coming from behind her massive doors sounded familiar, too familiar.
"Indra! How are you doing?" Meave playfully shouted while she got dressed and put her hair in a high tail, then opening the doors smilingly only to see Indra standing ahead of her with a stern expression. "Um.... did I do something wrong?"
"You looked pretty close to the prince yesterday." She narrowed her eyes and stared at her.
"I don't associate with Ice Nation." Meave shrugged and rolled her shoulders and neck to stretch them.
"You bought a sword made in Azgeda." She calmly stated and Meave tilted her head. She had no idea why it was so wrong to buy a sword that belonged to a different clan.
"That is something completely different."
"You carrying a sword around and the prince talking to you in public only makes me suspect you know him so pay attention to yourself next time. You can't get close to them. It could get you into a lot of trouble." Indra placed one of her hands on her hip as a powerful symbol that Meave should better listen to her and stop associating with Azgeda and the woman just rolled her eyes as she looked away with a sigh.
She probably wasn't going to win this one, but wasn't going to listen either.
"Don't worry."
"You know he sleeps next to you?"
"No, I actually didn't know that and that information is really irrelevant." Meave crossed her arms.
"Good, now forget it." She quickly stated and the woman scoffed, seeing exactly what Indra was trying to do. That woman was trying to catch her lying or giving into the fact she was indeed close with the prince, but unfortunately for her.... she wasn't so easy to read and definitely not if it meant it could benefit her or save her life.
"Either way.... what brings you to my room, Indra?"
"Heda as op gon yu ste ogud. Snap!" [Heda asked for you so be ready! Quick!] She spoke in Trigedasleng to sound more aggressive than she already was sounding.
"Where?"
"The assembly room, don't be late." Indra ordered and Meave grabbed her coat in the process.
"I'll just go with you right away." She stated and watched the frustrated Indra gesture that the woman had to follow her. Together they rushed into the elevator and waited for the doors to close in complete silence. After that awkward elevator ride, they got out again and arrived at the hallway where Roan was dragged out the day before that shortly afterwards.
