"You're Skaikru in their eyes, in mine you're something completely different and I'm their king so if you're the one I'm with, they need to accept that you'll rule by my side when the time comes."

Trying to find her way through the labyrinth of hallways after Meave was sweetly asked by Roan to leave their shared bedroom, she was trying to find the kitchen to get something to eat. It kinda confused her though why he wanted to handle some stuff in their bedroom alone, but she respected it and left nonetheless. When she found out she got lost in the tower as usual though, she tried to find her way back to the main hallway again and accidentally took the wrong turn.... a wrong turn that showed Roan leading Titus into a whole different room in the tower. He lied to her....?

She furrowed her brows, slightly feeling angry and confused and she clenched her fists. She didn't have the right to be mad at him. He never truly said what he was going to do. She quietly walked up to him who was now waiting to be able to enter the mysterious room. "Roan....?"

"Meave?" He sighed once he heard her voice. "I'm sorry that you had to see this, but it's necessary."

"You told me you would try to keep him safe." She pointed at Titus who tried to ignore the two talking. "You told me you would try not to interfere with Ontari."

"I said I'll try, I didn't promise anything." He stated and straightened his back to show her he wasn't joking or in the mood for a discussion. "I need to do this."

"But why?"

"For your safety." He growled softly and sighed since he didn't mean to sound mad, offering her his hand which she carefully took. "If I don't listen to her and show her my loyalty, she'll think I'm not loyal to my people because of you. That means she'll come for your head and I prefer it if I wake up every morning with you next to me still alive. Please forgive me...."

"As long as you don't kill him, I forgive you." She nodded and he kissed her hand before the heavy doors were being pushed open by two guards.

"MIN OP!" [Enter!] Ontari shouted and the doors fully opened to reveal "the oh so great" Ontari.... and Murphy?

What the fuck was Murphy doing here?

He had loved the idea of leaving this place, not to be in the center of another problem yet again.

"What is this?" Ontari signed at Titus with her slender hand, moving it around impatiently for the answer.

"The Flamekeeper claims he lost the flame.... You, where's Wanheda?" Roan stared at Murphy and lifted his chin to look more intimidating while he walked into the room with the Flamekeeper.

"How would I know?" Murphy awkwardly shrugged, but his hands were still cuffed together and it made the movement look a bit clumsy and messed up.

Meave also slowly shuffled into the room behind Roan and noticed his back muscles flex. Clearly a sign of dominance and aggression. He was clearly ready to launch himself at Murphy for an answer and Meave very gently touched his back to perhaps be able to stop him.

She loved the king a lot and Murphy had been there for her since the beginning on earth so she loved him as a brother and that meant that in no circumstances did she want the two men to fight. And definitely not since Roan was twice as muscular and strong as Murphy who was also chained. That was too unfair.... But Meave also knew that whatever happened between the two, Roan would never kill Murphy knowing that the woman he loved saw him as a true good friend of hers.
