"Let us begin."

Meave sat back down on her throne as Roan spoke and as she listened to the things that had to be discussed, her body shook by the sudden coldness that hit her.

~~~
A few days had passed, more stress filling the minds of the people in Polis who knew about the nuclear disaster, including Meave. Roan knew that she had grown concerned about their welfare and instead of showing her his concerns as well, he tried to keep his mind calm to keep her calm too. It didn't work though.... Meave knew deep down he didn't have that much faith in the solutions anymore either. His faith was even so low he had already sent Echo to find out what they were planning in Arkadia.
They were laying together in bed as the sun rose, the king still asleep next to her. Normally he would have woken up sooner than her, but he was so tired of all the problems around them he was still sleeping his exhaustion away. She couldn't blame him, she was exhausted herself too and she didn't even have as much work as the king next to her.
Sleepily, Meave snuggled a little bit more into Roan's chest and she closed her eyes again. It was a quiet day and till now nobody had interrupted them so she felt peaceful and safe for once. It also extremely helped to hear the calm heartbeat of Roan and she drifted off to sleep in no time.... slowly though her heart began to speed up, her body felt like it was trapped and her mind wandered off to nothing but death surrounding her. It shocked her and once her breathing started to become unsteady, her eyes flew wide open before anything else bad could happen.
"Bad dream?" She felt Roan stroke her hair while she caught her breath, her whole body tense as she sat up straight to fill her longs with as much air as she could.
"Yeah...." She rubbed her teary eyes and Roan gently laid his woman back down against him.
"It's okay, it's okay, Azblida." He shushed her and her heartbeat slowly dropped to the same rhythm as his again. "We will find a way. We will survive this together." Surprisingly Meave could hear the hope in his voice and she furrowed her brows.
"You truly believe that or are you still trying to convince yourself first?" She could hear a deep chuckle behind her.
"I'm already starting to believe myself~ but we'll see. For now we finally have some rest so clear your mind, Ai Haiplana." [My Queen.] He stared down at her while raising one eyebrow in a cocky way, a smirk creeping onto his face which made her shake her head playfully.
"Last night was enough~ I can't walk anymore." She giggled softly and tapped his chest before he pulled her on top.
"Maybe it was enough for a simple man, but I'm a king, sweetheart." He growled against her lips and she rolled her eyes playfully before melting into the kiss she received. It didn't take long before he slowly backed off though and leaned into her ear. "Still as cold as ice." He suddenly whispered.
"It's not fading?" She whispered back, supporting herself on her elbows to keep her weight off of him as she looked at him.
"HAIEFA, HAIPLANA!!" Someone aggressively pounded onto their door and Meave let out a long sigh.
"Seriously?" She whined softly and Roan chuckled, kissing on her neck and up her jaw while he laid her down next to him so he could sit up.
"Can you hand me my shirt?" He kissed her cheek and she handed it over to him. "Thank you, angel." He thanked her and got dressed, his eyes shooting a glare at the door when the men just kept pounding onto the door. "OSO NA STE DER!!" [We will be there!!]
"Why is it when we are planning to make love we are always disturbed?" She laughed a little and disappointingly watched the empty bed before pulling herself from underneath the warm sheets to get dressed as well. They didn't have much time though so she left her hair undone and wild.
Together they followed the guards downstairs and they turned around once they arrived at the courtyard.
"The training ground is accessible for you." One of them spoke and Roan nodded to dismiss the guards and secretly sneaked his arm around his wife's waist during.
"Come~." He growled and smirked a bit, clearly having something in mind after the guards mentioned the training ground.
"That was the news they had to tell us so badly?"
"Yes and I am disappointed that that news ruined our morning. But! I have another idea~ come on."
"I'm not going to fight you." She answered and stared into his piercing eyes that looked right through her, secretly forcing her to train with him just by giving her that specific hot look. "Fine."
She swore this man had such a big influence on her and she hated it but also loved it so much, it honestly drove her crazy.
~~~

Sweat dripped off of Meave's forehead as she tried to outrun Roan's attempt to make her stumble back and onto the ground. The two had been going for an hour straight filled with hitting and kicking the shit out of one another and she started to grow exhausted. Somehow Roan got stronger though and she was glad because it showed his injury was getting better.

Before she knew it her legs were pulled from underneath her body and she fell onto the ground with a hard blow. "I'm done, I bloody fucking swear!" She whined and pushed the king's sword away with her finger in annoyance.

"You surrender?" He smirked and got onto his knee next to her, faces inches away from each other.

"No...." She tried to get back up, but sighed once she looked into his eyes. "Yeah...." She gave him a playful pout and he got up, holding out his hand to her to offer her his help.

"You did great." He smiled and helped her to her feet carefully.

"Thank you~ you did too, but I was better." She laughed and he growled, shaking his head.

"You surrendered~ I didn't. Says a lot about who was better."

"I know." She giggled and held onto his hand as he guided her back inside the palace so they could have a quick bath together.

It didn't take long before they managed to get to their bedroom, but Roan suddenly stopped her and looked around the room carefully. "Someone has been in here."

"What?" She held onto his hand again and looked around as well.

"The flame...."
