"Auntie Amelia I'm bored." Bailey sighed walking into the kitchen.

"Why don't you read a book?" Amelia suggested, as she washed the dishes in the sink.

"I don't like reading."

"Why don't you go play outside then?"

"It's raining."

"Oh." Amelia looked outside the window to see the rain falling harshly, she hadn't realized it was raining. "What are your sisters doing? Could you play with one of them?"

"I don't want to play with them." Bailey dramatically sighed once again, and grabbed the utensils on the counter to put them and the drawer.

"Your still mad at them?" Amelia chuckled recalling the fight a few nights ago.

"Of course I'm still mad! Wouldn't you be?"

"I think forgiving is a powerful thing."

"Well, I'm not forgiving them." Bailey pouted, crossing his arms across his chest.

"Suit yourself." Amelia sighed, not in the mood for the children's fights. Crying then erupted through the baby monitor, she went up the stairs her nephew following behind.

"Why does he cry all the time?" Bailey asked as he stepped into the room with his aunt.

"Because he's a baby. That's how he communicates with us to let us know he needs something." His aunt told him as she picked the baby up from his crib.

"What does he need?" Bailey asked following his aunt once she left the room again.

"He needs to eat." Amelia answered as she carefully walked down the stairs with the baby.

"He eats a lot." Bailey remarked once they got to the kitchen. Recalling all the times in a day when his aunt would excuse herself to feed Scout.

"Yeah, well that's what babies need when their this little." As much as she loved her nephew she would do anything for a few minutes of someone not asking her a million questions.

"Do you remember when Scout was in your belly?" Bailey asked, as Amelia warmed up her sons bottle that she had pumped earlier in the day.

"I do remember." The neurosurgeon nodded as she walked over to the couch with her baby, and sat next to her oldest niece.

"How'd he get there?" Bailey asked as he jumped onto the couch.

"Be careful." Amelia scolded as he had jumped onto his sister.

"Sorry." The boy apologized to Zola. "So how'd he get there?"

Amelia looked between her niece, nephew, and baby unsure what she should say. This was definitely a conversation they should of been having with Meredith, and it worried her that Meredith may never have the opportunity to do so.

"Yeah it doesn't make sense." Zola remarked as she contemplated for a moment. "Mom says you have to be married. You and Link aren't married though."

"Oh, umm yeah. Well t-that's true. Sometimes though it's okay if your not."

"How'd he get in there though?" Bailey asked again.

"Well, that's not really important right now." Amelia said, trying to shut down the conversation.

"Are you and Link going to get married?" Zola asked, thinking back to the previous statement.

"I don't know." Amelia honestly answered, she had been thinking about it much more recently.

"Why are you and Owen not married anymore?" Zola asked.

"It just didn't work out for us."

"I like Link better than Owen." Bailey remarked, Amelia had to stifle her laugh. "You should marry him." Amelia simply nodded trying to contain her smile. She talked awhile longer with her niece and nephew, and once her sons eyes started to droop she brought the baby into his room. As she walked up the stairs Link and Ellis were coming down as well. Amelia couldn't help but smile when Link interacted with her nieces, it made her excited for the possibility that one day they could have a daughter of their own.

"Hey Link." Zola greeted in a sing song voice as the man and her sister walked into the living room.

"Hey Zola." He reciprocated in the same tone; chuckling.

"I have a question." Zola smiled once he was situated in the couch.

"I may have an answer."

"When are you and Auntie Amelia going to get married?" The question made Link freeze, sure he'd been thinking about it a lot lately. The two had never discussed it though.

"Oh, I don't know." The ortho surgeon laughed nervously.

"Well you should, she wants to get married. She said so, that she wanted to marry you." Bailey added into the conversation, Zola pushing him with her foot.

"Stop making up lies. No one likes to be friends with a liar." Zola reprimanded; crossing her arms.

"Wait what did she say?" Link asked curiously, sitting up intrigued.

"We were just talking about babies and marriage and Owen with Auntie Amy." The oldest girl informed

"What was said?" The two kids then said 'nothing' in unison.

"If you guys go upstairs please be quiet, Scouts asleep." Their aunt said as went down the stairs to see the kids going up. The kids nodded, communicating they understood. The two kids all looked at one another and as a group quietly walked up the stairs. "Well that wasn't weird." The neurosurgeon chuckled as she made her way over to where her boyfriend was sitting.

"The kids just being kids you know?" Link chuckled nervously; wrapping his arm around his girlfriend.

"Why are you acting so weird?"

"I-I'm not acting weird your acting weird."

"Did the kids say something about marriage to you?"

"Um yeah they did."

"Don't let that spook you. It didn't even really mean anything. They were just asking questions."

"So you don't want to get married?"

"Do you?" Amelia asked nervously playing with the skin around her finger.

"I mean I've been thinking about it. Have you?"

"I mean a little bit but everything's crazy right now. We have bigger fish to fry at the moment."

"Yeah your right." Link nodded leaning back against the couch. The two sat in comfortable silence as they scrolled through their phones. "There is something I want to discuss though."

"And that would be?"

"What happens to the kids, if Meredith, umm like if she doesn't make it." Amelia hesitated as she thought about it. She knew Meredith's main priority were her kids but at the moment they were trying to figure who her power of attorney was going to be. At the moment she knew her kids were safe under the care of their aunt, but Amelia didn't know if Meredith wanted to be permanent.

"I honestly don't know who gets custody. She decided that stuff before I really knew her, I'm assuming it's her friend Cristina or one of my sisters. If she asks us do you want to take them? Because I've been thinking about it, and I do want to take them, and I totally understand if you don't want to, I mean you barely signed up for one kid with me nonetheless four." Amelia rambled quickly, visibly nervous.

"Amelia I'm fully aware what I've signed up for. I love Scout so much, of course I want him, I'm slightly offended you've said that. Of course I'll take care of these kids with you if it comes down to that." Link took his girlfriends hands into his own. "I'm in this, and I'm not leaving you. And we can figure the marriage thing out as we go."

"God, how did I find such a perfect guy?" Amelia laughed in disbelief before she went in to kiss him.
