"Link?" Amelia whispered, shaking her boyfriend.

"Link!" She asked louder shaking him more aggressively.

"What?" He asked shooting up from his laying down position. "Are you okay?"

"I'm having contractions, they're 20 minutes apart, but I thought you should know."

"What? Amelia, we have to go to the hospital. We have to get the bag? Oh god, we haven't even finished the nursery. He's early, he's still got a couple weeks." Link ranted uncharacteristically, jumping up from bed to throw on some sweatpants.

"Link, we don't need to go to the hospital. We'll go when they're 5 minutes apart."

"Amelia, it's better if we go now."

"They'll just send us home. I shouldn't of even woken you up. Come back to bed." She patted the space next to her, trying to lure him back to bed.

"No, of course always wake me up."

"Your assuming we'll have more kids?"

"Maybe, I don't know." A flustered Link responded quickly.

"How many?" Amelia asked before wincing, another contraction taking her by surprise. Link quickly grabbed her hand allowing her to squeeze it. Once the contraction had passed and Amelia had calmed Link answered.

"3, I don't know. We'll just see what happens. I think it'd be nice for our son to have a sibling, I was always lonely growing up. I only ever had myself to play with, a lot of imaginary friends."

"How many imaginary friends?"

"Maybe around 5? They all had elaborate stories and personalities. I had a lot of time on my hands." Link chuckled. "We should look into buying a house, don't ya think? One with a big backyard, so we can play tag with him. I'll teach him to throw a baseball, and how to hit one."

"No,no,no, he is not playing baseball waaaaaay to dangerous. And definitely not football, or soccer, or hockey." Link kissed her to stop her ranting.

"You just did that to shut me up."

"Precisely."

"Amelia your contractions are 10 minutes apart, we should get going."

"No, Link not until they're five minutes apart. You live like two minutes away from the hospital. You don't need to worry about me having this baby in your car."

"I just think it's better if we go now. You never know, with labor. Maybe your farther in labor than we think."

"Link, it's very endearing your so nervous and worried, but your forgetting that I'm a doctor and have had a baby before." Link sat down next to his girlfriend who was now leaning against the couch in their living room. He hated himself for forgetting about her firstborn.

"Are you doing okay?"

"Well, there is a very big baby trying to tunnel it's way out of my body at the moment."

"No, I mean about Christopher."

"Oh." Amelia hesitated for a moment. "Yeah I'm okay, I mean this is different from when I had him. This whole pregnancy I've been comparing and contrasting this one and my last pregnancy. This baby, is staying. I'm not going into this knowing my baby is going to die shortly after his birth. It makes me miss Christopher, but I'm not as sad as I thought I'd be. I'm happy though."

"Your not obligated to be happy." Link rubbed her arm, when she winced in pain signaling another contraction.

"I know, I am actually happy about this baby. I just miss Christopher, I wish he could've met his little brother."

"Your the strongest person I know."

"Ugh." Amelia slapped his upper arm. "I hate it when you say that."

"But it's true." Link laughed, causing his girlfriend to laugh. "You know we should get married."

"What?" Amelia asked looking behind her shoulder to see his face.

"Well actually no."

"Oh."

"Well, not no. But like yes, but no."

"Huh?" Amelia asked before another contraction had her doubling over in pain. Link quickly looked down at his watch, while rubbing her back.

"Amelia, that's five minute intervals now. Let's get going."

"No, not until you tell me what you meant."

"Amelia, this is not the time or place for this conversation. We've got to get you to the hospital."

"I'm not going until you tell me your intentions."

"My intentions are to get you to the hospital in time, so this baby isn't born in the car."

"No, what did you mean by we should get married? Like now?"

"Well, not right this moment, because we have to get you to the hospital."

"You know what I meant."

"Of course I intend to marry you. This isn't how I wanted to propose, though. I didn't mean to blurt it out. Just disregard this whole conversation."

"But, you want to get married?"

"We obviously don't have to if you don't want to. All that matters to me is you and our baby."

"No, I want to. Of course I want to marry you."

"Good." Link smiled, admiring his girlfriend until he was pulled out of his bliss by another contraction. "Alrighty, you ready to go to the hospital now?"

"Ready." Amelia nodded.
