"What's a code pink?" Link asked as he and his girlfriend operated carefully. Amelia looked up at him through their masks and glanced over at the calming pink blinking coming from the alarm system.
"Missing kid. Probably some kid who's scared for surgery or walked away from their parents. Sure they'll find em soon." She locked eyes with him once more before diverting back to their patient.
"Scout's okay right?" Link asked nervously.
"Link, he's up in daycare he's literally fine. Now we really have to focus on this patient."

"Anyone tell Shepherd and Lincoln yet?" Bailey asked as she sped walked through the halls with Schmitt beside her.
"No not yet. They're in surgery with one another."
"Wait outside the scrub room for them." Bailey ordered as she went to go talk to the police. "What do we know?"
"You have a patient who escaped the psych ward. The daycare worker said she told Scout to use the bathroom across the hall. Said she watched him walk in, and then went to help another kid. He never came back, and when she went over there she couldn't find him. And the psych patient has yet to be found, very probable that she's with the kid. She lost a kid around the same age as the missing kid." The police officer informed the chief of surgery.
"Oh god." Bailey murmured under her breath. "Have they left the hospital?"
"According to security, no. So they must still be here somewhere." The police officer then left to go talk to his team, while Meredith approached.
"What the hell happened?"
"Scouts missing." Bailey simply said.
"Where are Amelia and Link?" Meredith asked concern tainting her voice.
"They don't know yet."
"Bailey, if this were you or I we both know we'd want to know immediately in surgery or not."
"Protocol! You may be a rule breaker Meredith, but we are not breaking protocol. Even if we did theres no one to take over for them in the OR, and they'd want to be looking immediately."

"Hey Schmitt, need something from us?" Link causally asked as the pair scrubbed out, they had noticed him standing there and assumed he wanted to discuss the patient they had earlier that day.
"Umm, you see. Umm." Schmitt nervously stuttered, not sure how he should tell them that their son was missing.
"Just spit it out Schmitt." Amelia said.
"A pysch patient escaped, and your kids missing, and the crazy lady probably took him." Schmitt rambled quickly. The pair felt their hearts drop immediately, they both ran out of the scrub room not caring that they hadn't fully scrubbed out.
"What the hell happened?" Amelia asked out of breath, once she saw Meredith and the worker at the daycares door.
"He just needed to use the bathroom and I watched him walk in, and I turned away to help a kid. He never came back. When I realized I called the code and checked the bathrooms, and right after the code was called they realized a pysch patient went missing." The nervous worker rambled quickly.
"How the hell did pysch not realize a patient was missing?" Link yelled, he knew that the worker had no connection to the pysch issue but he needed someone to yell at.
"We've checked security cameras it doesn't appear that they've left the hospital." Meredith interfered trying to calm things down.
"It appears what does that mean?" Amelia asked whilst biting her nail.
"She may of left through a window or the helipad because there's no cameras in those areas but that is very very unlikely." Meredith answered, she was trying to be calming she couldn't imagine what they were going through.
"So they're here somewhere? I mean why can't we find them?" Amelia asked starting to pace.
"They're looking they'll find him. It's going to be fine." Meredith assured at frightened couple.
"Okay well we should look." Link suggested, he was racking his brain trying to remember all the places his son would hide during hide and seek.
"No you two will just get in the way. Try to stay calm."
"Stay calm, your kidding right?" Link chuckled with disbelief, he was usually laid back but when it came to his son he most definitely wasn't.

An hour had passed since the couple found our that their son was missing. They had found the missing pysch patient, but their son was still missing. The patient claimed she didn't know what they were talking about, but Link didn't believe it. He couldn't stand to watch his girlfriend so empty and sad looking so he went into the bathroom, to splash some water on his face to wake himself up. Once he turned the water off he heard a sniffling coming from under the cabinets so he kneeled down and opened it , to reveal his son hugging his knees. Once the boy recognized him he leaped out and hugged his dad.
"What we're you doing in there?" Link asked as tears fell down his face, he tightly kept his son in his grasp.
"I heard the alarm go off, and I wasn't with an adult so I just hid. I didn't know if I could come out or not." The five year old confessed, he felt guilty he felt as though he worried his dad.
"That was smart buddy, mommy and I were so worried though."
"I'm sorry."
"No don't be im just so glad your okay." Link stood up, his son still in his embrace. "Let's go find your mom."
