"Didn't expect you'd still be up." Carolyn said walking into the kitchen.
"Sorry, I was just getting some water." Link said holding up the glass.
"No need to apologize, please sit." Carolyn gestured to the kitchens table, and sat down. "How's your trip so far?"
"Really good, thanks for having me."
"Of course. Your my favorite of all of Amelia's previous suitors."
"Oh, thanks." Link was taken aback by this.
"I've never seen Amelia this way over someone. My daughter loves very deeply and that can leave her vulnerable. Thank you for loving her, she may not be the easiest but she's deeply kind."
"If I'm being honest, I've never felt this way about someone before. It baffles me how much I love her."
"I don't mean to be blunt, but are you planning on proposing?"
"Actually I have, I've been carrying around a ring since Scouts been born. I just can't figure out the right time, and what she'd want."
"I think I have an idea if your interested." The older woman smirked.

"Merry Christmas Eve." Amelia whispered to her son as she picked him up from his crib.
"I thought you'd still be asleep." Link said as he walked into the room.
"I could say the same for you, why are you up so early?" Amelia asked skeptically, for her boyfriend to only shrug.
"Just felt like it."
"Your nervous aren't you? I mean this is gonna be a lot of people."
"I can handle a crowd no need to worry about me." Link smiled while he took his son into his arms. A knock on the door causing the two to turn around.
"Hey, i just wanted to meet my newest nephew." Lizzie cooed peaking her head through the door.
"Oh yeah, come on." The youngest shepherd gestured for her sister to come further into the room.
"May I?" Lizzie asked gesturing towards the baby, link happily passed her the baby. "Oh my goodness you are so adorable. Ugh I miss when my babies were this little. You guys made a cute one."
"Are you guys the first ones here?" Amelia asked.
"Yeah, I like to get to things earlier than Kate and Nancy. Give myself more points with mom." Lizzie chuckled.
"If I'm gonna be honest, with Derek out of the picture, I think I'm the favorite." Amelia chuckled.
"Oh shut up, your terrible." Lizzie laughed along with her sister.
"Nancy's my favorite today, if I'm going to be honest." Carolyn joked as she stood in the door way. "Link, can I have a hand?"
"Yes ma'am." The man said as he made his way to the door.
"What did I say about you calling me ma'am." The sisters could hear him apologize in the distance.
"Oh my god he's hot." Lizzie whispered when it was just the two of them in the room. "Kate and Nancy both said he was but like wow."
"Right?" Amelia chuckled as she took her baby back from her sister.

"Aunt Amy your up next!" A voice yelled from down in the basement.
"I'll be right there!" Amelia yelled in response.
