"It's been forever since I've taken you out on a proper date." Link smiled as the pair sat across from one another at Angelini's."It's nice, thank you for bringing me." Amelia smiled showing off her dimple.
"Of course."
"Did Scout tell you what he wanted for Christmas?"
"When I spoke with him he mentioned something about a race track for his toy cars. Why what did he tell you?" Link asked as he flipped through the menu, even though he ordered the same thing every time.
"He told me he wants a baby sibling, like Zola and Leo have." Amelia casually said, trying to conceal her excitement. "What do you think about that?"
"Well, I think that it's not happening considering Christmas is in three weeks."
"Obviously, but do you ever think about it?"
"About what?" Link asked looking up from the menu.
"Nevermind." Amelia sighed bringing her attention back to her menu. The couple ordered, and discussed their upcoming presentation on alternative pain relief treatments.
"Jo offered to take Scout for that weekend, so I was thinking we head to San Diego a day before the conference. Have a little us time?"
"Link, look at how cute that baby is." Amelia said disregarding his statement, Link followed her gaze.
"Not as cute as Scout was, but I may just be biased." Link chuckled.
"I miss when Scout was that little." The neurosurgeon pouted, Link hummed in agreement.
"Remember how whenever he woke up he would try to break out of his swaddle? And he would make that little noise and you could tell how frustrated he was?"
"I remember you always yelling at me because you thought I'd suffocate him by swaddling him too tight." Link laughed recalling his sleep deprived girlfriend yelling at him while her voice slurred with exhaustion.
"That too." Amelia giggled after eating a piece of bread.

"Let me call an Uber." Link said pulling out his phone.
"Nope." Amelia took his phone and shoved it into her own pocket. "We can walk home, we walked here."
"That's when it wasn't raining."
"It'll be fun! And it's not even raining yet!"
"Well it's about to. What if we get sick?"
"Then we get to curl up in bed together."
"Let me just call an Uber babe."
"Nope, and for someone so worried about climate change you'd think you'd feel better not omitting carbon dioxide into the environment." Link seemed to consider this and took her hand. Amelia rested her head on his shoulder. "I want another baby."
"Another one?"
"Scout would be the absolute best big brother."
"I don't doubt that, but I don't know."
"What don't you know."
"It'd be a lot of work, and we've just gotten Scout adjusted."
"I'll do everything." Amelia said excitedly, as though she was convincing him for a dog and not a baby.
"You'll do everything?" Link laughed, as she turned around to face him. "So late night and early mornings?"
"Yes" Amelia nodded enthusiastically. "But seriously Link, can't you imagine another little you running around? We make really good babies."
"We do make really good babies." Link agreed, as the two stood on the sidewalk it started to lightly rain. "Told you it was going to rain."
"That you did." Amelia leaned back onto her boyfriends shoulder, and the two walked through the rain silently.
"I always wanted a sibling growing up. And Scout would make the best big brother." Link broke the silence.
"Soooo we can have another baby?"
"I think there are still things we need to discuss before we start trying, but yeah what the hell let's have another baby." Amelia squealed excitedly to this, while she jumped in a rain puddle. She then grabbed his face with her hands and kissed him.
"Meredith and Maggie have Scout tonight. So we should really go home and start practicing." Amelia mischievously smirked.
"I think that would make the most sense."
