"Okay, Amelia, I think you should calm down." Link calmly stated with their baby propped on his hip.
"Calm down? You think I'm just going to calm down?" Amelia accused as she aggressively chopped potatoes.
"It's just thanksgiving dinner, there's no reason to get yourself into such a state."
"Do realize this is the first time our parents are meeting each other? The first time my mother is meeting Ellis and Scout? The first time my mother has seen Meredith since the funeral? The first time your parents are going to realize how crazy the person you've decided to have a child with is?" Amelia quickly rambled.
"I promise it's going to be okay. It's going to be chaotic like everything else in our lives, but it's going to be fine. We can go to Meredith's earlier if you like so we can introduce Scout to your mother. I'm sure she's been aquatinted with Ellis since she spent the night there. It's going to be fine." Her boyfriend encouragingly smiled, placing their son in his high chair to assist Amelia with the food they were bringing over.
"Thank you." Amelia took a minute to admire her boyfriend, grateful she found someone like him. He just smiled in response as he closed the tabs on the Tupperware.

"It's never too late to go home." Amelia smiled trying to seduce her boyfriend into letting them go home.
"Hmm, except it is." He rhythmically knocked on the door. A very excited Zola opened the door and greeted them, welcoming them in.
"Oh goodness this must be, Scout." Carolyn gushed admiring her newest grandson. She stepped further into the foyer.
"Yeah." Amelia smiled taking a moment to admire her child. Each time she looked at him, the more blown away she was at the fact that he was everything to her. "Do you want to hold him?"
"Of course." Carolyn kindly smiled, reaching her arms out to the small child. Amelia turned around looking for her boyfriend, but realized he was already in the kitchen helping out. "He looks a lot like you when you were a baby. Bigger than you though, you were always incredibly tiny."
"Yeah, it seems like he's taking a lot of Link's traits already." Amelia chuckled, she'd be lying if she said the sight of her mother and son didn't make her happy.
"Okay, I'll have some baby time later." Carolyn passed the baby back to her daughter. "I'm going to go help in the kitchen." Amelia smiled and made her way to her old room. She set up her sons portable crib and placed him down. She thought it was best to let him sleep now so he wouldn't be as cranky when he was being passed around.
"What can I help with?" The neurosurgeon asked as she came into the kitchen.
"Could you set the table?" Carolyn asked.
"Of course." Amelia smiled, and collected the fine dishware to set the table with.
"That's probably the best job for you." Link chuckled remembering last night when she burned mad and cheese.
"I burn Mac and cheese once and now I'm incapable of cooking." Amelia chuckled throwing her hands up in the air.
"I don't blame him, do you remember the Thanksgiving I broke my wrist and you and Addie made dinner?" Carolyn asked laughing.
"That's a thanksgiving I'll never forget." Amelia laughed reminiscing on the memory. "I hope you know that we didn't give Nancy food poisoning, and that she was just pregnant."
"I realized months later, when she finally told me." Carolyn chuckled.
"How did they react when you told them you were having Thanksgiving in Seattle?" Amelia asked as she placed down the silverware at each spot.
