"What the hell are you doing?" Amelia asked as she stepped into the bathroom."Scout, needs a haircut his hair is getting way to long." He smiled snipping the surgical scissors they kept in the first aid kit in their bathrooms
"No it's not." Amelia defensively accused, walking over to the pair running her hands through his hair. Okay, maybe he was right, but that didn't mean she was cool with it.
"The kid's almost a year, and has never had a haircut I think it's time."
"Well you should've consulted me."
"You see I did, the first time we tried to cut his hair a couple months ago and you wouldn't even let us walk into the barber shop. So I've had to resort to this." Link gestured to the scissors.
"I'll do it." Amelia held her hand out for the scissors. Link started at her dumbfounded, was she really going to do this?
"Okay if you say so." He placed the scissors in her hand, and she got to where he was sitting. He watched her comb through his hair with her fingers admiring it, and then took the comb to get any tangles out.
"Okay, okay." Amelia mumbled under her breath. Tears starting to form in her eyes, she had no idea why she was crying over this. It was just hair.
"Amelia, are you seriously crying over this?" Link chuckled, noticing the tears in his girlfriends eyes.
"Oh shut up." Amelia slammed the scissors down on the countertop. She then lifted up her son and left the bathroom. "We're not doing this."

"Look who's the one that doesn't want to cut their baby's hair now." Meredith smirked, in reference of Amelia telling her it wasn't that big a deal to cut Ellis' hair, and she was blowing the whole situation out of proportion.
"Oh shut up." Amelia responded, hugging her son tightly as she stroked his head.
"Okay give him here." Meredith held out her arms for the small child. The family of three was at Merediths for their weekly dinner with the kids, Meredith, and Maggie. And Link had mentioned Amelia being scared about cutting their sons hair, and Meredith immediately jumped to wanting to cut his hair, for some sort of payback he assumed. For Maggie and Amelia taking Ellis one day while Meredith was at work.
"Mer, this really isn't necessary." Amelia tightened her grip on her son stepping back from Meredith.
"It's definitely, necessary. Hand him over." Meredith stepped closer to her and held her arms out. Amelia hesitantly obliged, and handed her son over.
"Your gonna get a hair cut little man." Meredith sweetly told the small boy. She walked into the bathroom and situated everything she needed to. While Amelia and Link stood in the doorway, Link took his girlfriends hand and held it tightly. He didn't quite understand why, but he knew that his girlfriend was very worked up about this.
"Wait!" Amelia stopped Meredith before she cut her sons hair. "How about we do this another day?"
"Nope it's happening today." Meredith answered as she began to cut his hair, and Amelia started to cry.
"Amelia there's no need to cry." Link said whilst squeezing her hand, only for her to pull away.
"Link, he's growing up like really growing up." Amelia crossed her arms watching as Meredith skillfully cut.
"Your mama is very dramatic." Meredith chuckled to the small boy, as she brushed through his hair making sure it was even.
"Hey." Amelia defensively said, as she picked up her son and combed her hand through the newly cut hair.
"And this is for you." Meredith handed Amelia a zipbloc bag with her sons hair.
"Why do we need that Amelia?" Link asked slightly disgusted.
"To put in his scrapbook."
"That's a thing?" Link asked shocked.
"It's weird, but definitely a thing." Meredith chuckled.
"It's not weird, it's normal. Now can we go home? This poor guys been through a hell of a day." She kissed the top of her sons head after she was done with her sentence.
"Alrighty then, thank you so much Meredith we really appreciate it." Link thanked.
"No we don't." Amelia whispered aggressively.
"Oh come on, Amelia." Link chuckled wrapping his arm around her as they walked out.
"He's growing up." Amelia admired the boy drifting off to sleep on her chest.
"Yep, he's growing up."
