"Hey beautiful" Link remarked as he wrapped his arms around his girlfriend, who was occupied trying to turn on the stove. He ended up having to turn it on for her."I could of done that!"Amelia said, turning around in his arms and slapping him lightly on his upper arm causing him to wince. "Did that hurt?"
"No, no, no it's fine babe." He reassured her. "Now where is our little guy" Link went into the living room to take him out of his playpen. Leaving a concerned Amelia behind.

As the couple finished up their lunch Amelia made a proposition to go to the park which Link easily obliged to.
Scout was strapped to Amelia's chest, being a little fidgety but overall really good for their first outdoor excursion. Link had been strangely contemplative, which was unlike the you jump I jump personality Link had. Amelia decided to leave him be, not wanting to push him. Little did he know she had the same worrisome thoughts about the pain he experienced from a slight slap across his arm.
"What happens with Scout if something happens to us?" Link questions stopping on the trail to look at his girlfriend. Amelia turns around and walks back towards him, she was caught off guard by the question even if it had been a question that she had been thinking about lately. "Link, I-I know this is an inevitable discussion, but maybe your arm is in pain because I was sleeping on it all night. We shouldn't jump to conclusions."
"I don't know what your talking about Amelia. It was just a question that we really need to find an answer to." Link reflected continuing to walk along the trail. Amelia looked at the now sleeping baby on her chest and gave him a kiss and whispered him reassurances that were really for her before she went to catch up to Link.
The rest of the walk was silent until they had got to the car. Amelia situated Scout into his carseat and sat in the back with him. Once Link got into the drivers seat, Amelia had broken the silence. "Maggie could be an option. Or maybe Jo." Link looked back at his girlfriend with a sad smile.

Amelia was in the nursery/office rocking the crying baby to sleep, she was on the verge of tears as well. Her and Link had not had a conversation since they got home. She was about to lose all hope when Link reluctantly came in the room with his guitar in hand.
"My little dude what's the matter? Awww I know I know. It's gonna be ok I promise." Link said caressing the crying baby's cheek. He then sat down in the rocking chair and strummed a chord, before starting his rendition of 'My Sunshine'. Causing Amelia to silently sob as she lowered the calmed baby down into his crib. Link stopped his playing and walked over to his girlfriend as they admired the sleeping baby.
The two then exited the room quietly. "Link, we didn't have a fight, but we ignored one another all day so it might as well been a fight. We can't just shut each other out because we're scared we are in this adventure together. Yeah we need to figure out our wills, power of attorneys, and who gets Scout if we die and we will. But we really need to talk about your arm and it probably is nothing, but if it isn't we can't start that like this not if we want to stay a strong couple."
"Our life is so serene and Scout is the most perfect little baby we could ask for. And if this is c-cancer I don't want us to rip each other apart and leave Scout hurt, confused, and not see a healthy representation of love. I'm sorry if I hurt you today Amelia but I'm terrified. I mean cancer is terrifying but now it's not just my parents and I. I have you and we have Scout. The walls are just closing in around me and I-I just I'm at a lost."
Amelia took Link into her arms and the two slid against the wall, while Link sobbed into Amelia's shoulder. "There is absolutely nothing to apologize for. I got you, the walls are just where you left them, your ok. I love you and we are in this together. Scout is gonna be ok he is still going to see healthy true love. You are going to be ok, we can get you checked out tomorrow to assure ourselves it's nothing. I'm not going anywhere."
