"Link?!" Amelia shouted from the kitchen where she was making breakfast. "Are you two almost ready?""Yep here we are." Link answered, coming into the kitchen fully dressed and their son in pajamas.
"Hey bud, why aren't you dressed?" Amelia asked putting a waffle onto the plate in front of her son.
"I'm no talking to you." Scout said bitterly.
"Scout, please don't do this." The boys mother begged. "You know I love you."
"He refused to get dressed, and he's barley talking to me. Don't take it personally." Link whispered in his girlfriends ear.
"Don't take it personally? Your kidding right?" Amelia responded raising her voice.

"Why's Scout in his pajamas?" Meredith asked once she came into the lounge, after dropping off her kids at daycare.
"He refused to get dressed this morning." Link told the general surgeon as he walked out of the room.
"So it didn't go well?" Meredith directed towards her sister who was laying on the couch.
"Nope, he hates me. He seemed okay last night, but apparently he isn't."
"Well, Bailey didn't take the idea of Ellis that well but he adjusted after a week or so. Zola was excited though, she loves being a big sister."
"He's only been sitting with this for a day. He'll get used to it right?" Amelia questioned biting her nail.
"I would say yes. But you've been in the new house for almost 3 months now and he still hates it so I don't know." Meredith smirked, enjoying the scared look Amelia had.
"That's comforting." Amelia sarcastically said.
"It's going to be fine, Amelia." Meredith told her sister as she left.

"Scout it's bedtime." Amelia reprimanded, her son still playing with his toys ignoring his mother. "Scout, this is the last time I'm gonna ask you."
"Can I have two stories?" Scout asked not looking at his mother.
"We'll see. Now come on get your pajamas on." The little boy got up from the living room floor and made his way to his bedroom. Amelia helped her son into his pajamas and to brush his teeth, but with each task the boy made it difficult. She finally was able to lure her son into his bed, and got up to turn off the light and say goodnight.
"Wait. You said you read to me." Scout announced sitting up quickly.
"You weren't very nice to me. So I don't think I should read you a story."
"I'm sorry." Amelia went to sit down on her sons bed.
"Can you tell me what you're feeling?" Amelia and Link always made sure that their son knew it was okay to identify and feel emotions.
"I'm sad. You'll love this baby more. Like I love you more than daddy." Scout confessed crawling into his mothers lap to be closer to her. While Amelia stifled a laugh at his last statement.
"Scout, I promise you that's not going to happen. My hearts just going to grow for the two of you."
"No you have to love me more. There's not a enough room for baby." Once her son said this she debated on telling him something.
"There is enough room I promise. You know when you were in my belly, I was scared there wasn't enough room to love you and your brother." The small boy looked up at his mother confused. She wasn't quite sure how she was going to explain this yet.
"I don't have a brother."
"You do, he was born before you. He was sick though so he isn't here anymore, but he helped a lot of people." Amelia explained tears forming in her eyes. "But my heart just grew, I don't love either of you more than the other."
"Okay, so you won't love the baby more?" Scout asked curiously.
"Nope, it's just gonna be more love for everyone." Amelia affirmed.
"I still don't like it."
"That's okay, I think once the baby's here you may feel differently. Now you've got to go to bed."
"What about a story."
"I'll read you three tomorrow." Amelia told her son as she tucked him under the covers, she felt like she was going to cry and she didn't want to do that in front of her son.
"Okay." Scout disappointingly nodded, Amelia got up to shut off the main light and turn on the nightlight.
"Goodnight, I love you, I'll see you tomorrow." Amelia assured her son as she closed the door behind her. She then went to their backyard so she could sit on the deck. During her first pregnancy she spent a lot of time outdoors contemplating. She definitely wasn't expecting to tell scout about his brother tonight, she thought it would happen when he was older and Link was with her.
"I'm home." Link whisper-shouted through the foyer. His girlfriend was usually up watching TV when he came home. He went through their house not finding her anywhere. Then he ventured back downstairs to find the backdoor opened slightly. "Watcha doing out here?"
"Oh hey I didn't hear you come in." She quickly sat up drying her tears.
"Hey what's going on?"
"Um, I told Scout about Christopher. I don't think he really understood, but I was trying to explain this baby wasn't replacing him. And that my love is just going to grow." Amelia expressed scooting over on the lounge chair so her boyfriend could sit beside her.
"Did it seem to help?" Link asked, he wasn't quite sure what to say or do to help his girlfriend.
"A little. He still really disdains the whole situation." She chuckled lightly.
"I think it's all going to be okay. I think they're going to be the best of friends."
"I don't think it'll matter how long we're together. I'll never understand how you assume the best." Link smiled chastely kissing his girlfriends lips tasting the remnant of fallen tears.
"Want to know what Scout told me?" Link nodded into her neck. "He loves me more."
"No he doesn't." Link detached himself from her turning to look in her eyes.
"Yep came straight from his mouth. He was telling me there is only room for one person in a heart. And I was the person he loved the most." She smirked smugly.
"He's lucky he is so cute, cause if he wasn't he'd be sleeping out here in the cold." Link joked. "You as well."
"You just think of me as cute?" His girlfriend asked in a sultry manner.
"I think of you as a lot of things." Link smirked, before kissing her passionately. Leading their night into more of an adult fun.
