"Atticus Lincoln!" A familiar voice shouted.

"Steven! What's up man." Link said as he turned around and approached his old boss.

"It's great to see you. My wife is doing a presentation here and then I saw you were doing a presentation as well, and I wanted a chance to see it and talk with you." Steven told Link.

"Oh yeah of course man, how about we have drinks after my presentation?" Link asked

"Sounds like a plan."

"Interesting work you've been doing since leaving the Mariners." Steven said as he sipped his drink

"Yeah, Grey-Sloan is just really innovative and there are a lot of great doctors to just bounce ideas off of and collaborate with. Hey, how is the team enjoying Nico?" Link asked.

"Huh funny, two of my sister in laws work there, but Link..., you know I'm head of all of the MLB team doctors. So I don't know much about them unless they are really good or really bad. Nico is a great surgeon don't get me wrong, he's just not good with our guys. I know you declined my most recent job offer and referred Nico to me. But the guys miss you, you understood their pain and empathized with them. Nico just doesn't." Steven confessed while finishing off his drink and asking the bartender for another.

"Nico is tough around the edges, but he will warm up. That kid is a brilliant surgeon and will do incredible things for the players. I mean I trained him."

"The guys are desperate to get you back. What do you want more money? We can make it happen. In addition we can get you a lab type deal so off season you can work on an innovative project to get some of our players in commission out."

"No, it's not the money. I have a kid now and an amazing girlfriend. It's just too much time away from them. I mean I can talk to Nico and try to help him get adjusted to the guys." Link confessed.

"That's what the girlfriends for man, taking care of the kid." Steven laughed causing Link to look at him with disgust. " I'm kidding man, but I never deemed you one to settle down. It's just surprising."

"Me either, but it happened and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I mean maybe in a couple of years I'll come back, but Nico will be adjusted by then or you'll have someone else better than me. I just don't see it working I'm sorry man."

"No I understand it. Try talking to the kid though, he seems to have some serious anger issues." Steven said.

"Hey babe." A voice said as she kissed her husband Steven's neck.

"Ah Link, this is my wife Kathleen."

"Oh wow, fake Owen! Nice to see you again." Kathleen said taken aback as she sat next to her husband at the bar.

Link was at a loss for words. He had known Steven for years and never knew that he had a wife nonetheless that it was his girlfriends sister.

"Nice to see you as well." Link awkwardly replied.

"You two know each other?" Steven questioned.

"Oh yeah, you know when Amelia was in New York, and Nancy and I had dinner with her. This was the fake husband." Kathleen laughed as she stole a sip from her husbands drink.

"Wait, is your girlfriend Amelia.?" Steven questioned.

Link had no clue how to respond. He knew it was better to be honest, but he also knew this could possibly cause him to be sleeping in the couch for a week.

"Umm, yeah actually." Link awkwardly said.

"Small world huh?" Steven said. "Hey Kathleen why didn't you tell me Amelia had a baby?"

Link had to stop himself from face planting his head into the bar. He should of lied. Was he really this stupid?

"Umm what? I didn't know!Someone elaborate!" Kathleen said confused.

Saved by the bell. Link's phone then started to ring. Link apologized then excused himself from the bar. He then realized it was Amelia calling him.

"Hey babe." Link said shakily.

"Is everything ok?" Amelia questioned on the other line, sensing Link was anxious.

"Umm yeah presentation went great couldn't of been better."

"But....?"

"Umm, you see I kinda accidentally told Shrink Martha Stewart that we have a baby together."

"My sister? Kathleen?!"

"Umm yeah. You see I didn't mean to I was talking to her husband, my old boss. And then Kathleen came up and then he kinda connected the dots that you were my girlfriend. Then he asked Kathleen why she never told him that you had a baby. And then thank god you called." Link confessed in a single breath.

"Oh my god. I mean I want to be mad, but this is kinda funny."

"Ok good your not mad. I thought I was going to be sleeping in the couch."

"Oh no, you'll definitely be sleeping in the couch. Especially when the phone calls from my family start rolling in. But I love you, and it's not totally your fault. You just seem like the best person to blame." Amelia laughed into the phone.

"This is all part of the adventure though, right?" Link questioned.

"Most definitely."
