School seemed to pass by rather quickly which, for me, wasn't exceptionally easy. I was nervous to brake the news to them, yet I couldn't help but want to get better. I wasn't planning on leaving them behind for long. I'd visit the schools that "Mr. Goggles" wrote down, learn a few things from them and come back. It wasn't that hard, I'm not leaving the permanently. It's only temporarily. Calming my nerves as I approach the field where everyone was gathered I quietly stand behind a tree watching them. I unconsciously bit my fingernails to the point where they were a few inches shorter. I swallowed and mustered up my courage and walked down the stairs. Still biting away on my index finger I move slowly towards the field. How was I going to tell them that I was leaving? Did I think it would be easy? I could feel my adrenaline rushing through my veins. I looked down as I stopped and stood silently on the field.
A ball flew past my face with a lot of force. I looked up and was meet with bright orange eyes.
-"Fight me", he said.
-"Physically?", I answered confused.
-"No. I want to have a one on one with you", Tsurugi frowned.
-"You want to settle a score?", I asked thinking back about the events that took place during the.
"Yeah, and you'r gonna accept", he grinned confidently.
-"I need to talk with Coach Endou-", I sighed. I lowered my gaze and with a dull face looked at the benches.
-"Sorry. I need to go now".
-"Hey wait I'm not finished-", he called after me.
I walked away from him and towards Coach Endou. It seems everyone was waiting for me, they all smiled at me happily. I quietly smiled but it soon vanished. I walked up to Tenma and Shinsuke who were so happy they could fall of their high horses.
-"You were so cool yesterday!", Shinsuke and Tenma said in union.
-"You guys weren't half bad either, that goes for the whole team. You all did great, Ultimate Thunder was a huge success. Good job everyone", I said and looked up. I glanced at Tsurugi and then att everyone else's grinning faces.
-"I agree, everyone good job", Coach Endou said. Everyone was so happy they looked like a bunch of kindergarten kids who had gotten candy from their teacher. I smiled to myself quietly knowing I had to tell them that I was leaving the team. So I mustered up my courage and said;
-"Um, there's something really important I need to tell you all but don't freak out", I said massaging the back of my neck. I had everyone's attention now, I lowered my gaze and stood quietly for what seemed like a minute or something. I looked up and looked at everyone.
"Coach Endou, Tenma, Shinsuke, Shindou, Kirino, Hayami, Kurama, Sangoku, Kurumada, Amagi, Hamano, Aoi, Midori, Yamana and Otonashi-sensei. We've been through a lot, that we can't deny, at first we didn't seem like a real team. We fought constantly and it seemed like the team was falling apart after Coach Kudou left. But we managed to make it out of that dark phase. We got a new Coach, the team started forming, we all still wanted to play soccer, we got this far with the help of each other and many others. We even got a certain someone to join our team. We've pushed past the hinders standing on our paths, we now have no doubts about what we want to do. That I'm thankful for, I really love this team it's my home. I love this place to the point I'd do anything to protect it. Let's sour high in the sky and win the Holy Road!".
They all smiled and pointed their fingers at the sky. I did it as well, I felt tears forming in my eyes. I lowered my finger and dropped my gaze down. I couldn't help but cry.
-"But, I can't stay", I said still holding my gaze down not wanting to meet their confused gazes.
-"What do you mean?", Tenma asked. Concern could be heard in his voice.
-"I'm lacking in so many things. I'm not as good as you think I am, i want to become someone worthy of being in Raimon. Someone who can stand proudly by your sides as a Raimon member", I say tears overflowed.
-"But you are worthy of being a member of Raimon!", Tenma said concerned.
-"Yeah, you're our ace! Without you we wouldn't be Raimon! You're awesome at soccer and super good! Oh and powerful!", Shinsuke went on after Tenma.
-"Thank you, Tenma & Shinsuke. But I'm not as good as you think I am, I'm not powerful and I want to get stronger. And to do that I'll have to leave the team for some time...", I said finally looking up.
-"What...?", Tenma said shocked.
Everyone stood stunned. No one saying a word, even Tsurugi was surprised. Coach Endou also seemed a little stunned but quickly looked normal. He smiled and clapped his hands to get everyone's attention.
-"I appreciate everything you did for this team, I'm glad you will leave only for a short amount of time. And I'm pretty sure you won't change you're mind", Coach Endou said smiling.
-"Well we'll also grow stronger and win the Holy Road. But you'll have to promise that you'll be there at the finals. After all a team needs it's ace, am I right?", he said smiling.
-"Yeah!", everyone said.
-"Everyone...Thank you!", I smiled.
The story has just begun. We'll win the Dream Road and bring back soccer to this world! Follow us on our journey to bring soccer back. The story hasn't ended yet. It's only just beginning, we still have a lot of hinders in our way. But we'll stay strong and push past them. Because we are Raimon, the strongest team there is!
