A Vampire's Love; the untold story

Chapter 43

 'It's not impossible to kill her, it can't be' Klaus says and Kol looks at him, when he joined them. 'If she hasn't broken her connection to the ancestors or the other side, we kill her, and she'll just come back again' Kol says and Freya agrees with him. 'It was a mistake, consecrating her. She went to the ancestors, now she's able to be here and not get killed. Someone needs to cut the bloody connection' Kol says and sounds pissed. 'We wouldn't have this problem if our dear brother didn't let me finish the spell when I brought Elijah back' Freya says, looking at Klaus. 'It wasn't just you Freya who did it' Kol says. 'Whatever, me and Davina, does it make any difference? He still stopped me' Freya says and Klaus rolls his eyes. 'For god's sake Freya, that little thing has to stop, it has nothing to do with our current problem' he says annoyed, and Kol nods. 'It's true. Let's find a way to kill Esther. But that doesn't mean I'm giving up on bringing Davina back. If we can, we will.' Freya sighs and takes another grimoire in her hands. 'You know she'll come for you first, right?' Freya says looking at Klaus. 'Of course I do. She'll come to face me first, and I will rip her heart out of her chest, before she even gets to say a bloody word' he says, and his lips form a smirk. 'That's not a bad plan' Freya says and giving another spell book to Kol, she starts reading, and Klaus walks out of the room. 'I hate witches' he says as he walks down the stairs.

Elijah is walking around the French Quarter. He did not want to stay in the compound anymore, he felt like he was being suffocated. He needed to get out, and walk around, forget about his problems and the person they had to deal with. He takes a deep breath as he leans on a wall, watching all the people walk around, not knowing what kind of monsters are among them.

'It's sad, isn't it?' he hears a familiar voice and he turns his head in the direction it's coming from. 'They're all happy, humans, witches, werewolves. You know why, Elijah?' she asks and he looks at her, raising an eyebrow. 'I guess you're going to tell me anyway mother, aren't you?' She looks at him and nods. 'It's because they're afraid, actually. They know that death will come, so they are trying to live the best way they can. When you, your species, doesn't have anything to be happy in life' she says and he shakes his head. 'You're wrong mother, there are times that we are happy' he says, still looking at the crowd, not turning his head to face her. 'I know. You were happy a few years ago. You were, because you had something mortal in you life. Someone' he says and he looks at her. 'A Claire witch.' He narrows his eyes in confusion. 'What do you know about her?' She smiles. 'I know you were happy with someone like that. Someone you knew you could easily lose, someone who brought out the human in you' she says and he shakes his head. 'It's none of your business mother' he says and she scoffs, folding her arms. 'Isn't it? You know, you could have a life like hers, and when you die, in a few decades, you could see her again' she says and he looks at her. 'What do you mean, I can't die' he says. 'Not in this body, but you could die as a witch, in someone else's body. You could live your life, have a family of your own, and when you die, you could see the witch you want to see' she says and he rolls his eyes. 'Again with this, mother? None of us is going to jump and live into someone else's body. So don't try to talk me into it, you can't' he says and she sighs. 'Elijah, think about it. It's better than being a monster for the rest of your life' she says. 'No, mother. Being vampires isn't what made us monsters. It was you and father who turned us into this' he says, and he starts walking away from her, not giving her the chance to answer.

She watches him and rolls her eyes.   It's gonna take more than that to make him move into a witch's body.   She thinks and she walks in the opposite direction, heading to the compound, where the rest of her children are.

Klaus hears someone walking in the compound, and vamps to the entrance. He sees Esther walking in, his eyes wide open, but he was not surprised. She sees her son, knowing he is probably going to snap her neck or kill her, temporarily of course. For now, she could not be killed and all of them knew it.

'Mother, what a surprise' Klaus says sarcastically. 'Oh, don't tell me why you're here, we already do know that, you want to kill us, that isn't something new' he says and she laughs a bit. He looks at her, with a confused expression on his face. 'I'm actually here to help you' she says and he steps forward. 'And how do you intend to do that?' he asks, not even caring about the answer. 'I am going to free you. From the eternal torture of being a vampire, an Original' she says and he laughs a bit. 'This is your idea of help?' he asks laughing a bit. 'Yes. This is what your redemption looks like, Niklaus. Elijah has fought for that, took him more than a thousand years. He thinks when your daughter was born, you had it, and yet, you remain the monster you always were. Every single one of you is a monster' she says and he looks at her, almost bursting into laughter. 'You must be joking. You created what we are mother, we just accepted it' he says and she nods. 'I know, I know I created the monsters that I call my children, it is my fault, and now I am fixing it. Listen to me, accept my offer, move into a witch's body, live a human, normal life, and die, like you should have a thousand years ago. It's time to fix mistakes, and look forward.' Klaus' eyes open widely. 'This is a joke. We're not becoming witches and live in someone else's body, we are the strongest creatures on the world, we are not dying. We are the Mikaelsons. Unkillable and immortal. Better get that into your head, mother' he says, saying "mother" sarcastically. She sighs, rubs her forehead. 'And before you say anything else' he says and he punches his hand in her chest and she gasps. 'Have a nice nap, mother' he says and rips her heart out. Her body drops on the floor and he drops her heart next to it. 'Well this should last for some time' he shrugs and walks out of the compound.
