A Vampire's Love; the untold story

Chapter 9

'So, she's staying with us?' Rebekah asks Marcel as they're getting dressed. 'Yes she is, she can't stay in the compound, Elijah's there' he says. 'You don't have to worry about Elijah. Kol texted me that our bastard brother put him in deep sleep, for God knows how long' she says and sighs as she puts on her shirt. 'I mean, that is good, one problem is solved' he says as he finished dressing up. 'Marcel, he is still my brother' she says and Marcel actually feels bad for saying what he did say. 'Anyway, I am gonna check on Davina' he says after nodding to Rebekah's previous response. Rebekah nods and Marcel leaves the room.

He enters Davina's room. He sees the bed made, and Davina wasn't there. Her things though, were still there. He walks out and starts searching the house. He goes to the living room. 'Davina!' he shouts. Rebekah walks in. 'Why the bloody hell you're shouting like this?' she asks annoyed. 'Davina's nowhere to be found' he says worried. Rebekah sighs in relief. 'Oh, sorry, my bad, I forgot. Davina told me she's going to the attic, she left earlier this morning.' He sighs in relief.

'So, brother, can I ask why did you do that?' Kol asks, sitting on the couch, and Klaus, just entered the compound. 'Kol, I just finished putting him in his coffin, I'm not fine right now' he says sarcastically, because he doesn't feel bad, he actually feels relieved. 'Nik just tell me' he says again. 'Hope is in town. Of course she thinks I don't know, but I do. And she's planning something with Freya, which of course I am not going to allow happening' he says. 'I daggered him for Hope's safety' he says and he listens someone's voice behind him, that put a smile on his face. 'Dad' the powerful Mikaelson tribrid says, and Klaus turns around. 'Hope' he says and Hope walks towards him and hugs him. He hugs back, and smiles. Then slowly, he breaks the hug. 'Why are you here Hope? Your whole school is looking for you' he says and she looks at him with an apologizing look on her face. 'I am sorry Dad, but I found out what was going to happen. I won't let you do this' she says and looks at him. 'Hope, we have no other choice. I am sorry' he says and just disappears.

He walks in the basement, and sees the blonde vampire, chained up. 'Caroline' he says. She lifts her head up. 'Klaus' she says, and his heart breaks listening to her weak voice. He doesn't bother to ask how she's feeling, he knows better than anyone how it feels to be starving, and just be fed the amount blood that is barely enough to keep her from desiccating. He goes closer to her, kneels and he gives her just a shot of blood. 'It will all end soon enough love. You will go back to Stefan and the Salvatore school. I promise' he says. He looks at her, and moves her hair from her face, and looks at her scared and tired expression. She drinks the small amount of blood that Klaus gave her, and gathers the strength to talk. 'Klaus, please promise me that I won't die. I don't wanna die' she says as she is shuttering. 'I promise, love. You are not going to die.' She forces a smile, that fades away as he stands up. 'I have to go now, Caroline. But I will be back tomorrow. And every other day, as I did till now' he says and leaves. She sighs, tired to respond. The chains are hurting her, she feels the burning of the vervain in her veins, as they inject her some everyday, to keep her weak. She closes her eyes, as the Hollow takes control over her body again. Then she screams. 'Let me out! Let me go!' she tries to break the chains. She cannot do magic, Caroline is a vampire, and her body is too weak. Klaus hears the Hollow's screams, with Caroline's voice, and can do nothing but bring her image in her mind, weak, and screaming for help. He is so close to break, but he doesn't. He knows that it is one of the Hollow's games to control him. He whispers 'I will get you out of this Caroline' and disappears.

He walks in the next room of the basement. It is always locked, but not this time. He pushes the door, and walks in. He closes the door behind him, and walks towards the four coffins, each one with a name on it.  He puts his hand on the first one, reading the name on it. 'Finn' he says.

Finn. The one who never liked this family. Always looking out for himself, no one else. He has tried to betray Klaus more than once or twice. Every century, coming up with another diabolical plan to put Klaus down for good, but he never achieved, because Klaus, after all, was the devil in disguise. So, Finn was the one who has spent most of his life in a coffin. Klaus opens the coffin, and sees his brother lying in it. 'Well brother, you shouldn't have done what you did' he says and closes the coffin. He  steps forward, and sees Kol's coffin.

Kol. The one who has always been left out. He has spent most of his life in a coffin too, just not as much as Finn has. Last decades, he has been better, not what he was like. Still a psychotic maniac. Till he met that witch, Davina, For now, his coffin is not about to be used. If everything goes as Klaus has planned of course. He walks to Rebekah's coffin.

Rebekah. His younger sister. He always feels protective of her, he believes that no one was good enough for her. Right now, she lives with Marcellus, the boy once raised up like he was his own son. Rebekah and Marcel think that everything they're having right now, could stay a secret from Klaus. He smiles a bit, knowing exactly the fact that Rebekah has been with Marcel. He walks to the last coffin. He opens it, and sees his older brother in it.

Elijah. The nobleman. The one who always keeps his word. The one that fights for what is most important to him, and it is family. He is always the one who wanted his brothers salvation, and the one who believed that Hope was the key to it. He always keeps the family together. He is the honorable one, and never lies. Until one day. When he met a girl.

Klaus sits next to the coffin. 'Poor brother. Who thought that a girl would put you in this position. You turned your humanity off, for a girl that left you. And I had to dagger you. I will make Davina leave town, and when I wake you up, you will turn it back on. If I have to I will kill her with my own hands. Put Kol in deep sleep, and get rid of her once and for all. Once I told you, that love is a vampire's weakness. And look at you know. Lying in a coffin, because you loved' he says and sighs. He closes the coffin, and walks out, heading to the exit of the compound.
