A Vampire's Love; the untold story

Chapter 3

Magic notes. Who the hell is trying to reach out for me?

He thinks. He unfold the small paper, and only by the handwriting, he realizes who the note was from, since he had received many notes from her in the past.

Dear Brother,

I don't know why you keep dodging us, and who you are with, but we need you. Your family needs you. So I suggest you to come, and stop ignoring our calls and messages. It's incredibly important, I would not ask you to come if it was not that important. We need you.

Your sister,

Freya

He rips the note in many pieces so Davina won't see it, after he throws it in the sink and burns it. He lets the water flow so Davina won't find not even the ashes, her sharp little mind can think of many ways to find out what the ashes were, she could sense the magic as well. He goes their room, grabs a back pack and put some clothes in. He goes through phone, again, and calls Freya. She picks up, and he is the one to say the first words of the call, and he seems mad.

'Sister, do you mind telling me what exactly is so urgent, that cannot wait? Kol asks.

'Hello to you too brother' she says and you can hear the sarcasm in her voice.

'Spare me that, Freya. What is it?' he insists.

'Why are you so upset, brother? Are you with someone?' she asks with curiosity.

'No, of course I am not. Why are you asking me this?' he is starts getting suspicious.

'I am just genuinely curious. Should I be expecting you?'

'Yes, sister. I am gonna take the first flight for New Orleans which is in an hour' he says checking his clock 'I suppose.'

'Very well brother. See you soon'

She says and she hangs up.

He puts his phone in his pocket and walks around the house to check if there is something that he should take with him. He walks back in his bedroom, and takes the back pack. He takes his phone again, and types Davina's number. He calls her, and she picks up shortly after.

'Hey, Davina' he says. How am I going to tell her? He thinks.

'Hey Kol, I can't really talk right now, I am heading to the office manager's office. He asked to see me immediately and I can't be late, sorry baby' she says quickly as she walks to the office.

'Davina I need to tell you-' he says but he stops since Davina interrupted him.

'Kol! I told you, not now' she complains.

'Alright' he says and he looks down.

'Good luck Davina' he says.

'Yeah yeah, thank you, see you tonight now goodbye' she says and she hangs up.

He stares at his phone and talks to himself. 'Yeah, see you tonight' he says sadly, and puts the phone back in his pocket. He walks out of his room with the backpack and grabs his keys, unlocks the door and walks out of his apartment and takes elevator which leads him to the very last floor, and he walks out of the blocks of flats. He takes a taxi, and tells the driver to take him at the airport.

While he is going there, he thinks.

Maybe I should not do this.

Maybe I can go back and spend time with Davina, rather than

going to New Orleans. No, if I do that they'll find out Davina is here.

And what if I ignore them and Freya locates me, and she finds

Davina τoo? Davina doesn't want to get involves in any of this.

Maybe leaving her will make her life better, than get her involves with Klaus and Elijah, and the Mikaelson drama at all. Maybe it is just the best of her. But what if-

His thoughts stop there by the driver's voice. 'Excuse me, sir?' he says. 'We are here' he adds after looking at Kol. Kol nods, and pays him for his service, takes his backpack and gets out of the taxi. He looks at the building with hesitation, he is not so sure about what he should do. He clearly doesn't want to leave, but it is his family. And if they need him, he should go.

Besides, he thinks, Davina is 23 years old, she's not 16 anymore. She can take care of herself.

And that was is last thought before he walks to his seat in the plane, and waits, till he arrives at New Orleans.

* in New Orleans, some hours later *

Freya walks in the compound. She yells "Klaus!' Then Klaus appears in front of her, using obviously his supernatural speed. 'Freya, you do realize I have supernatural hearing, don't you" he says with his usual sarcastic tone. She looks at him with anger in his face. He chuckles sarcastically and looks at her 'Big sister, do not look at me like that, you scare me' he says and he can barely hold back his laughing. 'Klaus it is not funny! Not at all' she yells at him. 'What the hell are you thinking? You have a daughter and-' he stops her. 'Yes Freya, I have a daughter, who was recently possessed by the Hollow, and she might still be in danger! And-' then she is the one to stop him. 'Don't you tell me that it is about that girl, cause if it is, I don't care, vampire or not, I will go down there and rip her heart out myself Klaus' she says. He looks at her. 'Freya you are not going to touch her.' She calms down 'brother, please don't do that. We need you. Your daughter needs you. Just kill that girl, whoever she is. Cause if you don't, I will. And I'll make sure of that.' He looks at her, and his veins under his eyes show up. 'If you lay a hand on Caroline, that is the last thing you are ever going to do, sister. Take that as a promise' he says and disappears from the living room.
