It was very late at night when Elijah and Davina arrived at the compound, at least 3am. When they walked in, they saw Klaus sitting on the couch, with a glass of alcohol in his grip. He lifted his head up and saw them walking in.

'Well, if you two aren't already as thick as thieves' he said looking at them. 'Niklaus' Elijah said strictly, and Klaus raised his eyebrows in surprise. 'Not a few hours she's been here and you are already spending a whole day together' he said and he stood up. 'What's next, Davina?' Klaus said walking towards Davina. 'Brainwashing him into doing what our mother wants?' he said and Davina looked at him, Elijah moved to get in between them, and saw Klaus laughing a bit, seeing his brother's reaction. 'Oh come on, you know I'd never hurt your little witch' Klaus said sarcastically and turned his attention back to Davina. 'Or would I?' he asked.

'Shut up, Klaus' Davina spoke up. 'Oh she's got a voice after all. You know, if Kol was not upstairs waiting for you, I would rip your heart out in a second, but then I'd save you from the awkward position you will be in when you explain to him where you have been today?' He said and he then looked at Elijah. 'I can assure you I was quite specific about where you were and let's say, he did not take it well' he said and laughed. Elijah and Davina looked at each other. 'Shit' Davina muttered after she left and went upstairs, to talk to Kol.

Klaus watched her and laughed. 'What's so amusing to you Niklaus?' Elijah asked and Klaus looked at him. 'A lot if I'm being honest. But in this moment, I'd say you stop asking about me, and pay attention to what's happening in here' Klaus said and Elijah narrowed his eyes, and tilted his head in confusion. 'Oh don't tell me you haven't noticed, already. It seems like the little witch is already taking her pick' Klaus smirked. 'And it's obvious what she chose' he said and laughed. Elijah just stood there and listened to his brother talking about something he wasn't aware of. But instead of saying anything, he shook his head in disappointment and walked past his younger brother. Klaus laughed again and sat down.

Davina walked in her room. She saw Kol sitting on the bed, messing with his daylight ring, waiting for her. When he heard her, he looked at her and he stood up. 'Hey' she said and took her jacket off. 'Hi' Kol said. She stood there in silence for a split moment. 'Kol I don't know what Klaus told you' she said. 'What would Klaus tell me, the obvious?' he asked, his voice being soft which did hurt her, knowing what she wanted to tell him. 'You were with Elijah, went on a long walk, talked and came back. Right?' he asked, knowing it wasn't the truth.

'You can say it was something like that but' he cut her off. 'I don't want to know. I don't care about what happened in the few past hours' he said and he walked towards her. 'What I want to know is what are you going to do. Because we both know you have a choice to make, and I know it is going to be hard. But think about me, or him. One of us will have to deal with it. So do what you have to do, Davina' he said, and his little speech only made it harder for her.

She looked at him. She knew what she wanted, but she didn't know how to tell him. 'Kol, I'm sorry' she started by apologizing, meaning every word of it. 'I know you love me, and I love you but' she stopped, not wanting to tell him the truth, even though they both knew it. He took a deep breath. 'But you love Elijah more' he said finishing her sentence, without looking at her. Instead he looked up taking another deep breath. 'Very well' he said. She sighed, a bit relieved that she didn't have to be the one to say the words. 'I want you to say it' she heard him. 'What?' she looked at him confused. 'I need to hear it, Davina' he said.

She did not want to do it, she knew that if she was the one saying it, it would only hurt him more. She shook her head in response. 'Davina, say it' he said looking at her, serious, the way he looked at her changed, now he seemed more angry than sad, which made her eyes fill with tears that didn't roll down. 'I love Elijah more' she said and he looked at her. He was hoping she wouldn't say it, he still had hope. But she did say it. He looked at her.

'I was the one who got you out of your relationship with him when you asked me to!' he yelled at her. 'You came to me, asked me to leave, and I did. And then you made me love you. Just to stand here and tell me this!' he yelled again, obviously mad at her and his brother as well. 'Kol I'm so sorry' was the only thing she could say. 'It doesn't change a bloody thing!' he almost screamed at her, and hit his fist on the wall next to them, and she stepped back, and the tears in her eyes rolled down as she shut her eyes closed when his fist met the wall. 'Kol you're scaring me' she said and he realized she was afraid. He looked at her and didn't say a word. In a second, he had disappeared from the room, using the window. She looked around, and exhaled. Even though she was the one hurting Kol, it was too much for her too.

She sighed and closed the door. She walked to the closet and opened it and saw a few clothes in there.   Rebekah must have put them here   she thought, recognizing her clothes, they were the clothes she had left in the compound before. She took her clothes off, and put her pyjamas on. She threw herself on the bed, feeling exhausted. She got under the covers, and lied on her side.

She closed her eyes and exhaled, finally feeling comfortable. She was about to fall asleep when she heard a knock on her door. 'Come in' she almost whispered. The door opened and Elijah showed up. When she saw him, she sat up and he walked towards the bed. 'Am I interrupting anything?' he asked and she sighed. 'Nothing besides my attempt to sleep' she said chuckling, and put her head on the bed tapping it, gesturing him to sit down, and he did. 'What happened with Kol?' he asked and she sighed. 'Didn't you hear' she asked. 'Well yeah I did, but I don't think you would approve me using my vampire powers to eavesdrop' he said. 'Well since you heard, there's not much to say. But I'm sure he's not just mad at me, but at you too' she said. He nodded, and looked at her. 'I know. But Davina, I think you did the right thing' he said, and that was all she wanted to hear.

She wanted to know that he wanted her to be with him just as much as she did. And when he said she did the right thing, she was sure about it. 'We'll figure it out together?' she asked, looking for reassurance, moving closer to him. 'We will' he said, and pulled her closer to him, and she leaned her head on his shoulder. 'I hope so' she said and her back. 'You should sleep' he said and she nodded. 'I know' she said, moving away from him, and he stood up. 'Goodnight' she said and she lied down. He leaned a bit, looking at her. He moved some of her hair away from her face, and stared at her, trying to believe that everything was real. 'Goodnight' he said and then he walked out of her room, closing the door behind him.

He walked in his room, and just stood for a bit, and zoned out, looking at the wall. He could not believe what had happened that day. He smiled a bit, and instead of going to sleep, he walked to his bookcase. He reached to the top self, and grabbed his journal. He sat down, and started writing. He had a lot of things to write about.

When Davina was falling asleep again, she felt a sharp pain going through her whole body. She moved a bit, trying to understand what was happening. When she felt like a hundred knives where stabbing her at the same time, she knew it was magic causing it. Before she had time to yell in pain, she passed out.
