It had been a few weeks, five to be precise. There was no sign of Esther. It was driving Klaus crazy, and Elijah was starting to worry too. Rebekah was sure that Esther was dead or left them for good, while Marcel would worry just as much as Elijah did. Elijah had told Davina about it, and they had discussed it.

It was just another morning. Davina and Elijah were sitting at the main room in the compound. Davina had just finished her breakfast, while Elijah was on his second blood bag. 'Are you done?' he asked.

'Yeah' she said and stood up. 'I gotta go' Davina said. 'Where to?' he asked. 'Marcel, he wants to see me' she said and he stood up. 'Okay, I'll take you' he said and she shook her head looking at him. 'No, I want to see Josh in the way, I'll go by my own, if that's okay with you' she said and he sighed a bit. 'Yeah sure, you can go' he said and she smiled. 'Okay. See you later' she said to him, and he nodded. Then, she walked out as he watched her.

That's when he took his phone out. He called someone and then he started talking. 'Marcellus' he said and he heard Marcel's voice. 'Are you at the loft?' he asked. 'Almost there' Marcel said. 'Okay' Elijah said and hanged up. He knew Davina lied to him, since he was the one meeting Marcel. They both kind of lied. But he would look into that later, at that moment he was meeting Marcel and Rebekah, with Freya, to find out what was going on with his mother.

Davina met Josh at the quarter, and got into his car. 'Hey' he said. 'Hey, did you find him?' she asked. 'Yeah. Surprisingly, he didn't go far away, he's still in New Orleans' he said. 'Okay. Shall we?' she asked and Josh nodded. He started the car, and drove to an address Davina got him to find out.

'We're here' he said. 'Thanks, Josh.' 'Call me if something happens. I don't want you to get hurt' Josh said and she nodded. 'Don't worry, I'll be fine. Go back to Rousseau's and if any Mikaelson comes asking questions, you never saw me, okay?' she asks and he nods. 'You'll get me killed, Davina Claire' he said chuckling and she laughed a little bit. 'I'll make sure your funeral will be spectacular' she said sarcastically and got out of the car. He watched her as she walking towards the huge mansion and when she knocked on the door, he drove off.

Davina stared at the big door, and knocked again, but no response. She took a step back, and looked at the windows, and saw a curtain moving a bit, then took a step forward again. 'Open the door. I know you're in here' she shouted, knocking again. 'Leave' she heard from the other side of the door, not expecting him to answer. 'Kol. Open the door, or I'll come in by myself.' He didn't say anything. 'Fine. I'll do it myself' she said. She whispered a spell and put her hand on the doorknob. She heard the lock opening, and opened the door. 'Told you I'd do it myself' she said, and walked in.

She looked around, what she saw wasn't surprising. Blood everywhere, bodies, alcohol and a bad smell. 'Great' she said to herself. 'Kol, where are you?' she yelled, knowing Kol disappeared the second she managed to open the door. She searched the bottom floor, every room she entered was worse than the other. She walked upstairs. She saw a door, slightly open, and she pushed it gently. There he was, sitting on the edge of the bed. 'Kol' she said. 'Davina, I said leave. Don't make me say it again' he said, she could tell he was angry, but he sounded more emotionless than angry. No, he hadn't turned it off. That was Kol, being mad at her. He didn't want to raise her voice at her, he didn't want to lose the control he barely had around her. 'Can we talk?' she asked, still standing by the doorframe. That was when he looked at her.

'What's there to talk about? We get it Davina, you chose what you want to do in your life, I'm sorry I can't just stand by and act all happy' he said. 'I didn't ask you to do that. I just came here to talk. I don't want you to hate me' she said. His eyes got darker, his expression changed. 'You don't want me to hate you?' he asked and he stood up. 'You're being ridiculous, Davina' he said. 'I wish I could hate you. I wish I could hate you, and never care about you, ever again. But I can't' he said. She looked at him, and didn't move a muscle. She didn't know what to say to him, she knew she was the one that screwed up. He was perfect to her, she just didn't love him enough. 'I know, and I'm sorry' she said. 'No, Davina, you're not. So leave.' She looked at him, knowing that she screwed up made her sad. But she wouldn't give up, she wanted him to forgive her. 'Fine. I'll be downstairs cleaning up your mess. Whenever you decide you want to talk, you know where I'll be' she said, and she left the room. He watched her as she walked down the stairs.
