A little note, I changed the tense I use on the story, from now on, I'm using past instead of present tense.

Esther opened her eyes, and observed the place she was at. It was the same attic. But it felt different. There was some darkness in the place. She stood up, her hand on her neck, where she had cut herself earlier. She knew she was at the right place. She walked out, and walked around New Orleans. But she did know very well, it was not New Orleans. At least not the real city. It was the other side. Every person she was seeing, was a dead soul of New Orleans. Vampire, or werewolf. The witches of New Orleans didn't go to the other side. They were with their ancestors. Although, when she felt magic around the place, she knew there was someone there that had magic. She knew one witch was there. So she started walking in the direction the feeling of magic was coming from.

The magic led her to a church. St. Anne's church. But this one, was empty, and dark. She walked in. She felt the magic getting stronger with every step she took.

Davina felt it too. She was in the church's attic. A place she'd always go to when she wanted to be alone. She knew no one. She didn't want to know anyone, every vampire and werewolf in that place was dead. She was all alone. She wanted to escape that place. And she had tried. But dying in that place did not change a thing, she would always wake up in the same place.

While she was there, she felt a strong feeling of magic. It was getting closer by the second. She stood up when she heard footsteps. She looked at the door, not knowing who she was going to face.

That's when she appeared. She saw Esther, and her eyes opened widely, not believing it. 'Esther' she mumbled. 'Davina Claire. I knew I would find you here' Esther said. Davina frowned.

She hated Esther just as much as everyone else did. She knew Esther wanted to kill her children, but most importantly, what Davina cared about, was that Esther wanted to kill Kol and Elijah. She didn't know why Esther was there, but she would find out soon.

'What are you doing here?' Davina asked. 'I'm your ticket out of here. I'm bringing you back to life' she said and Davina put her hand on a table for support, trying to believe what she just heard. 'You're kidding' she says, thinking her hearing was messing with her, that Esther did not just say that. 'I can assure you I'm not kidding at all. I came to take you out of here, not to the ancestors, but to your life. Back to the real world' she answered.

'Why? Why would you do that? And why should I trust you?' Davina asked and Esther's lips formed into a little smile. 'Because I want something in exchange. And you are the only one who can give that to me' she says. 'And what do you want in return?' Davina asked again and raised an eyebrow. 'We'll talk about that later. But now, let's get you, your life back, shall we?' she asks and Davina nods. 'Okay, but how do I know you're telling the truth?' Davina wondered if she could trust Esther. 'You don't. You just have to trust me' Esther shrugged. 'Trusting a Mikaelson. That's going to be great' Davina said sarcastically, and followed Esther who had already made her way out of the attic.

'Where are we going?' Davina asked and Esther didn't say anything as a response. 'I asked you something' she said, raising her voice. Esther stopped and looked at her. 'Look. I'm doing you a favour, so you better stop asking questions and follow me' she said and Davina nodded, even though she got incredibly pissed at the way Esther was talking to her.

A few minutes later, they were back in the attic Esther woke up in. Davina looked at her and leaned on a wall, folding her arms, observing every movement of Esther's.

'So how exactly did you come back to life?' Davina asked Esther, who was obviously getting annoyed at the Claire's questions. 'When you and Freya opened this some kind of magical portal between the three words, this one, the real one and the Ancestor Plane, all I needed was to use my power, and I came back from the ancestors, since my children thought consecrating me was a good idea' she said quickly. 'Anything else you'd like to know?' Esther asked sarcastically. 'No, I think that's it' Davina sounded confused, she was still trying to process what Esther said. 'And how are you going to bring me back, or yourself?' she said after a long pause. 'Well I'm not really dead, I come back after some time, but I am able to choose where I go, this side or the ancestors. So I came here, and I did a little spell before I slit my throat open, so I can bring you back as well. So enough questions, its time to go back' Esther said and Davina looked at her, and walked towards the circle of salt Esther had made.

Esther looked at Davina, and put out her hand, to encourage her to walk in the circle. Davina looked at Esther and then at her hand. She did not want to trust her. She saw Esther as another Mikaelson, who would be a mistake to trust. But she thought that she had absolutely nothing to lose. She took a deep breath, and walked in the circle. Esther grabbed Davina hands, squeezing them tightly, as she started saying a spell. She closed her eyes, and said the spell twice. She opened her eyes and nodded, signing to Davina, to say the same words. Davina slowly repeated after Esther, till she felt shivers through her body. Both witches said the spell once more, and felt a weight lifting, their surroundings, changing.

They opened their eyes, and they were at the same place. But it was different. They knew they had succeeded. Esther definitely knew. Davina could not believe it. She let go of Esther's hands and she sprinted to a window, and looked outside. 'New Orleans' she muttered. Her eyes lit up, and her lips formed a smile. She just stayed there, staring at her city, the city that does feel like home, even if the memories of it are more bad than good.

For the first time in a while, she felt happiness. She was alive again. Esther wanted something in exchange but at that point, Davina didn't care. All that mattered is that she was alive. And this time, she wouldn't make mistakes again. She knew what she really wanted. She knew who she really wanted. She couldn't stop smiling.

'It feels good, doesn't it?' Esther asked, realizing how happy Davina was. 'Yes' Davina said. 'Yes it does.' she said. And then she felt like the room was spinning. Her vision went blurry, and she fell to the ground.

So, Davina's back on the 45th part. Hope you liked it!<3
