A Vampire's Love; the untold story

Chapter 12

'Sister, tell me you found something' she says and Freya sighs. 'I did find the spell that will transfer the Hollow from Caroline to' she pauses, 'you' she says finally. 'Fantastic' he says. 'I am expecting you and the Bennet witch here in any minute. 'Brother, there is still something' she says and then continues. 'In order to perform the spell, it needs to be a full moon.' 'Tomorrow is a full moon' Klaus realizes. 'Gather the others. I have to say my goodbyes' he says and hangs up.

The hybrid walks again to the basement. Not to visit his brother, not this time. He walks in the place where Caroline is kept, to give her, her daily dose of blood and vervain. After giving her a shot of these, he kneels before her, as he always does. 'You will be free tomorrow, love. Tomorrow, is a new day. A better day. For you. For my family. For Hope. Caroline all I wish to say is that, I may have done terrible things to your friends but' he gets stopped hearing a voice from the compounds main room. 'Klaus!' he hears someone from upstairs and recognizes her voice. 'Excuse me love' he says to weak Caroline and vamps upstairs, right in front of the brave bartender he loved. 'Camille you shouldn't be here' he says and avoids to look at her. 'You will not change my mind, so please, go' he says and moves back from her.

Davina is sitting on the couch in Marcel's loft. Marcel is wearing his jacket. 'Where are you going?' she asks with a questioning look on her face, her voice is soft. 'Mikaelson drama. Klaus wants to talk to us' he says. 'Will Kol be there too?' she asks. 'Yes, probably.' She nods. 'Umm' she wants to ask something but she thinks she shouldn't. 'No Davina, I don't know if Elijah will be there' he says and walks out. She sighs and goes through her phone, when she receives a message by Hope. She sees the message, and calls Hope. Hope picks up. 'Hey Davina' she says and Davina slightly smiles. 'Hey Hope.' 'Davina, did you get my message?' she asks and Davina answers positively. 'Why are they all going to meet at the compound and I am not allowed to go? What is so important that I can't know?' Hope asks and Davina answers. 'I don't know. Do you want to come by Marcel's place, I am alone and incredibly bored, I could use some witch company. Or tribrid company, or whatever.' Hope chuckles. 'Yeah, I'll be there' she says and Davina hangs up. Davina lies on the couch waiting.

How did I get into this mess?

She thinks. She starts thinking about the past. When she was only 16, and Marcel had just saved her.

Flashback

She was in the attic, when someone she barely had heard of, walked in the attic. 'You must be Davina Claire' she hears someone standing at the door of her attic. She turns and looks at the man standing before her. She examines him with her eyes, from bottom to the top. 'And you are?' she asks and the tall man before her chuckles. 'I think I am the one here asking the questions.' He goes to walk in but something stops him. 'Vampire' she says and narrows her eyes. 'What do you want' she asks and he looks at her. 'You are the witch that conspires against my family, on Marcellus Gerard's side' he says. Her eyes wide open, when she realizes who is in front of her. 'You are one of the old ones.' 'I am an Original, that is a truth' he says and looks at her. 'And you are, Klaus?' she asks. The man in front of her laughs a little bit, in the sound that he could be Klaus. 'No, I am not my brother. I'm Elijah. You've heard of me?' he says and a smirks shows up on his face.

End of the flashback

Davina hears someone knocking on the door, and stands up, walks to the door and opens. Hope walks in, and seems upset. 'Hope, what is it?' Davina asks and closes the door after Hope walked in, and Hope has already started walking around the room nervously. 'Hope, calm down, what is it?' 'I am afraid Davina.' Davina looks at her. 'Of what? Why?' she asks and walks closer to Hope. 'Why are they all together without me? Why aren't you there and why Marcel or uncle Kol didn't tell you what they're doing?' Davina looks at her, and sits down. 'Hope, it's family business, they wouldn't tell me' Davina sighs. 'I am family!' Hope yells and Davina stands up, walks towards her. 'Calm down, I will find out, and I will tell you okay?' Hope nods. They both sit down, and Hope looks at Davina. 'Calm down, everything will be okay' Davina wipes away Hope's tears and Hope smiles sadly. 'Let's talk about something else, okay?' Davina suggests and Hope smiles. 'Okay then, tell me you and uncle Kol? How did that happen?' Davina smiles a bit. 'It was spontaneous, I wasn't really thinking. Your uncle is a very good looking man, and I liked him, yeah. So one night, he took me away, and we disappeared.' Hope looks at her. 'Where did you two go?' Davina smiles slightly. 'New York' Davina says and Hope looks at her. 'New York? It must be amazing' she says and Davina nods. 'Yes, it is a beautiful city.' 'Davina do you know why Elijah turned it off?' Hope asks and Davina's eyes open wide when she hears that. 'Elijah turned it off?' she asks. 'Yeah, that's why dad daggered him' Hope says like she said something completely normal. 'Klaus did what?' Davina stands up and didn't really control herself at the moment. 'He daggered Elijah. You didn't know?' Hope asks and raises an eyebrow with Davina's reaction. 'No, no I didn't know' Davina sits back down. 'Davina are you okay, you seemed pretty worried and mad' Hope realizes and thinks that something's wrong with Davina. 'Yes, sorry for that' Davina says and takes her phone that just rang. She stands up, and walks away from Hope, and Hope looks at her suspiciously. Some minutes later Davina sits back down next to Hope. 'Cami is coming.'

In the compound, the siblings are gathered. Marcel is there too, except one person. The noble brother. 'Where's Elijah?' Kol asks. 'I thought you'd pull out that dagger from him.' 'Elijah will remain as he is, he will try to stop me' Klaus says and looks at them. 'Siblings. Marcel. Tomorrow night, I will do something that does not bring me joy. But it is for everyone's safety. Hope was once the Hollow's target. Now, the Hollow's target is me, and she tried to beat me using a girl that I love. Yes I love that girl.' Rebekah starts talking. 'Nik-' tries to speak, but Klaus stops her. 'Don't interrupt me little sister. So today, I want it to be the last time I see any of you. Freya will see me tomorrow too, to cast the spell in order to transfer the Hollow from Caroline into me, with the help of Bonnie Bennett. I want to say that everyone in here, means the world to me. Hope will not know anything, all of you promise, that you will tell her that I'm in the deep sea, with Papa Tunde's blade in my heart' he says and looks at all of them. 'Promise me!' he demands. 'I promise' Rebekah says. 'I promise' Marcel follows. 'I promise' Freya and Kol say at the same time. 'That is what you will tell Elijah too. When he turns it on, it will break him.' Everyone nods and he looks at them. 'For years I've been putting daggers in your hearts,' he looks at Rebekah and Kol. 'I've stood in the way of your happiness,' he looks at Marcel 'and have disappointed you multiple times' he looks at Freya, and then at each one of them. 'After tomorrow night, the bastard will be gone' he chuckles. 'I will not stand in your ways, I will have to sacrifice myself, in order for all of you to live. I will be in peace' he says like he is sure about it. But he knows that he is afraid of what will happen then. He doesn't know what happens when he leaves, if he will find peace, or darkness. But that doesn't change his mind. He knows he will die with love in his heart. 'I love you all, until my last breath. You all mean everything to me.' His eyes are filled with tears. Rebekah quickly walks to him and hugs him tightly. She lets the tears run down her face and everyone looks at them almost crying. When Rebekah pulls back, Klaus looks at his brother Kol. 'Kol' he says but he doesn't have time to say anything else, since Kol has already hugged him, while he whispers to him. 'You put me in deep sleep for centuries, and tortured me with many ways. But Nik, I love you brother' he says and Kol, the one that has never cried before, feels a tear rolling down his cheek. He smiles wiping it away, and pulls back. 'Marcellus' Klaus says, and Marcel looks at him. Klaus turns to everyone. 'I will need a moment. He says and the others nod, walking to the next room, and Marcel looks at him. Klaus walks in his direction. 'Marcellus. Little warrior. I gave you your name, I raised you to be a prince. But you bettered me. You are the king. Take care of my sister. And Hope. I trust you, to be a better person to her, to treat her like a father. I am trying to be a good one, since I failed the first time.' Marcel looks at him. He takes a deep breath, and Klaus looks at him, not knowing what Marcel will say. 'You never failed Klaus. You made me who I am. You were a good father, even to me. I will take care of Hope, as if she was my sister, and Rebekah will be happy. I promise.' Klaus smiles and hugs the person that knows as his son. Marcel hugs him too. 'Have a good life, little warrior' Klaus says without breaking the hug, and Marcel whispers. 'I will carry you with me Klaus, always and forever.' Klaus smiles, pulls back and looks at him. 'I guess that will be like I never died then' he says and they hug once more, with tears rolling down their cheeks. They pull back and Klaus wipes his own tears, and they both walk to the room next to them. Marcel walks past Klaus as he stopped, and stands next to the love of his life, Rebekah. 'This is goodbye' Klaus says. 'All of you will walk out, and will not turn around. No hesitations. You will walk out, and will know that I love every single one of you.' He looks at them. 'Always and Forever' he says and Rebekah, Kol, Marcel and Freya repeat after him, their family's vow, Always and Forever. They start walking out, and Marcel is the last one. He couldn't leave. He turns and looks at Klaus. Klaus shakes his head a bit, disappointed, but then he smiles. 'I have taught you to break the rules pretty well' he says. Marcel just looks at him. 'Always and Forever, Marcellus. Until Forever ends.' Marcel nods, and walks out, while Klaus watches him. He smiles sadly, and whispers to himself once more. 'Always and Forever.'
