Esther wakes up a few hours later. She looks around her and she doesn't see anyone in the compound, and given that she's a witch, she can't hear her children talking upstairs. So she stands up, shakes her head a bit and then leaves the compound, trying to think of what she needs to do to get what she wants.

Klaus is on his way to Camille's house, when he gets a call, and stops walking. He sees her name on his screen and his lips form a little smile. He picks up and carries on walking. 'Klaus, hey' he hears her saying. 'Missed me already, Caroline, it's only been a few hours' he says and now the smile turns into a smirk. 'Whatever you say Klaus, I just wanted to make sure everyone's okay, Hope is worrying too' she says. 'Everyone is alive, except my mother' he says and hears her chuckle. 'What, you got rid of her? So fast?' she asks. He laughs a bit and shakes his head even though she can't see him. 'I wish, she'll come back eventually, right now she can't be killed' he says and she sighs. 'Right. Just be careful. What are you doing now?' she asks and he stops walking. 'Going to Camille' he says and she sighs. 'Why?' she asks. 'I need to take her family's records of dark objects, anything that might help Kol and Freya to figure out how we can kill Esther' he replies. 'Since when do you play fetch boy, you always have someone else doing that kind of stuff.' He rolls his eyes. 'Since this is something important Caroline. We will talk later' he says and he hangs up before she gets to say anything.

'Having problems?' Klaus hears his brother's voice and he carries on walking without turning around. Elijah joins him and walks next to his brother. 'Don't you have your own problems to take care of brother, why are you stalking mine' he says and Elijah rolls his eyes. 'No, at this particular moment, my only problem is our mother' he says. 'Alright, if your problem is our mother, why aren't you with Freya and Kol, helping?' he asks and Elijah shrugs his shoulders, looking away from Klaus. 'Let's say' he makes a pause. 'I got hungry' he says and he fixes his handkerchief. That was when Klaus noticed the blood on his brother's sleeve. 'Right' he says, his eyes fixed on Elijah's sleeve. 'You should get back to the compound with the rest. I will join you later' he says and he vamps away. Elijah shrugs and starts walking to the compound.

Klaus gets to Camille's house and he knocks. When she opens the door, she sees the hybrid smirking, like he always does. 'Hello love' he says and he walks in without waiting for her to let him in. 'Have you heard of personal space, Klaus?' she asks and follows him. 'No, not really' he says and he looks around, and spots Josh sitting on the couch, and he stands up the moment he sees Klaus. 'Joshua, what a nice and not at all boring surprise' he says sarcastically and Josh chuckles nervously. 'Yeah, I was heading out of town but Aiden and I decided to stay after all' he says and Klaus looks at him narrowing his eyes. 'Which isn't your problem, so I'm gonna head out' he says grabbing his jacket, not wanting to mess with Klaus at this moment, or any moment in general. Klaus watches Josh as he walks out, and so does Camille. 'See you later Cami' Josh says and Camille smiles. 'See you later' she says and she closes the door after Josh walks out.

'So, Klaus, what do you want, because if you are here you definitely want something' she says and he smiles innocently. 'Is it so hard to believe that I can be here out of pure interest in you?' he asks and she folds her arms. 'Yeah, this isn't working, what do you want Klaus?' she asks again. 'Fine, fine, I want your family's records on dark objects' he says and she shakes her head. 'No, what do you want with my family's dark objects?' she asks and he sighs in annoyance. 'I am sure I have watched Kol with my own eyes make half of the objects you call yours, and if you must know, my mother is back and seems like now I am fetch boy, Kol told me to get the record and see what objects you still have, so if you excuse me' he says and starts walking to the room he knows she has everything he needs. She sighs. 'Wait, I'll give you the damn thing' she says and she pushes him a bit, walks past him and walks into that room. She looks around. 'Here it is' she says and she takes a book. 'Records of every object my family has kept' she says and hands him the book. He takes it, nods, and vamps out of her house without saying anything. 'A thank you would be nice' she says rolling her eyes and walking out.

Esther is in a place she chose to stay in, an attic, to do all her magic, somewhere near the cemetery. She starts running out of ideas. All she wanted was to take back what she had done. Put her children's souls into witches' bodies, let them have a human life and die, just like they were supposed to. In her story, she is her own villain, and she is trying to fix her past mistakes. She knows that if one of her children agreed to do that, the rest would follow. And she needs an easy target. She thought about each one of them.

Rebekah. Rebekah is an easy target, but not broken enough. She is happy with Marcel, or that's what Esther thought. Marcel is immortal as well. Rebekah would want to remain a vampire to be with him. But she always wanted a human life too. All Rebekah needs was something to convince her it was a good idea.

Klaus. Klaus isn't an easy target. Klaus embraces his immortality and loves it, he loves being the one that everyone fears, feeling the strongest of all. Klaus is the one she'd have to work on to talk into doing what she wants. After all, immortality is the thing that makes sure he will always protect his daughter.

Kol. Kol is the hardest of all. Kol is a psychopath, worse than Klaus. Klaus has his daughter to keep him going, but Kol, Kol is the one who has always been excluded. He loves being a witch, and the magic, but there was nothing he loved more than the taste of blood on his lips, the sound of his victim's heartbeat fading. He is happy the way he is.

Elijah. Elijah seems the most broken of all. He is the one who has lived the less. Maybe he hadn't been daggered for as long as the rest of his siblings had, but being by Klaus' side, always and forever, is the thing that never let him live his own life. Rebekah would live her life sometimes, till Klaus decided to put her back into a box, so would Kol. But not Elijah. Elijah would always stick by Klaus, never letting him go. And when he decided to live and love again, the person he loved, died. Elijah is the easy target.

Esther stands up, quickly. She whispers a spell, and after she did, she grabs a little knife. She hesitated. She knows that this will either be the end of her, or the start of achieving her goals. She would either die by the person she was going to meet, or that person would be her ticket to getting her children to become witches. Taking a deep breath, and whispering one more spell, she slits her own throat. Blood starts flowing, her body falls down, and she is dead. Temporarily.
