"Huh? What do you mean you quit? Not to sound rude, but don't you need some sort of income?" He asked as he set the last of the unpacked groceries on the countertop.

"You worry too much, you know that?" I reached out and rested my hand on his face, gently caressing my thumb over his cheek. "Since you guys posted that video, my channel has surpassed the requirements to make money off of it. So I'll be creating my own content now."

"You're positive that this is what you want to do?" I simply nodded my head. "Of course. Angelina was right when she said I hated my job. I hate a lot of things down here, honestly. The first step to making myself happy is ditching one thing at a time."

"As long as you're happy, I'm happy." Colby said and leaned down to press a kiss to my forehead. He then stepped back and started looking around the kitchen for all of the items that we needed to cook our own breakfast.

What he really didn't know wouldn't hurt him. I actually quit my job on Wednesday, so I technically wasn't lying.

"Me and Angelina filmed a vlog to talk about our story of LA. I wanted to include some bonus content of some short videos I took while we were down there. Do you think that Kevin could send me what was on my SD card?" I asked, grabbing a bowl and opening the container of eggs. One by one I cracked them open on the edge of the bowl and repeated that with four eggs before closing the container. I shook some salt and pepper into the bowl, with a little splash of milk. I grabbed a fork and cracked the yoke of each one and began to whisk them up.

"Better yet, why don't we send him the video you made and I can have him edit it up for you?" Colby asked as he laid pieces of bacon on a foiled covered pan. "That works. I can do that after we eat. I still have a video I need to record and post per Kat's request."

"What would that be?" He set the temperature on the stove and moves the pan to the side as he waited for it to preheat. While he waited on that he grabbed another small pan and popped open a tube of cinnamon rolls and got started on those.

Once the eggs were at a good consistency, I stopped working on those and got a skillet on the stove and turned it on medium heat. I dropped a scoop of butter in the pan and swirled it around until it melted down to coat it.

"She wants me to do a cover of her song 'Gone' and I told her I would do it." I grabbed the bowl of eggs and poured them into the hot skillet and rinsed the bowl out in the sink. Then grabbing the spatula, I began to work with them until they got to a good scrambled eggs consistency. I lowered the heat and sprinkled some mozzarella cheese to make them nice and gooey.

"I'll do it with you." He said as he placed both pans in the oven and closed it, setting the stove timer for the cinnamon rolls and a timer on his phone for the bacon.

"What exactly would you do?" I asked, just out of plain curiosity. "Well over the last month I decided to learn something new while I had time at home, so I took guitar lessons. Let alone, it would be a nice reason to give the people something to freak out about, and bring more attention to your channel."

"I don't have a guitar here though, so how would this work?" I asked as I removed the eggs from the heat and covered them, then put another small skillet on the burner to cook a few sausage links.

"I have mine in the backseat of my car." The timer went off for the bacon and he removed that from the oven and set it on top of the stove and quickly closed the door so the cinnamon rolls that were cooking didn't lose heat.

"You're just always full of surprises, huh?" I asked with a small smile. "I mean, I could say the same about you though." He said with a chuckle. "Once we get all of this taken care of we can chill, maybe rent a movie?"

"I'd like that." I leaned over to press a kiss to his cheek and went back to tending to the sausage. As soon as they were done I turned the heat off.

A few minutes later the cinnamon rolls were done and he pulled them out and began to do the icing. I grabbed two plates and forks and set his down and began to make my plate. At this point I was starving and everything smelled so good.

I waited for Colby to make his plate and we went to go sit down in the dining room and eat.

"You know, we really do miss having you back in LA. It almost didn't feel the same when you left." Colby said as he ate a bite of food.

"I still feel terrible for how I left. It wasn't proper and I let my emotions get the best of me. I was really excited for the little party we were going to have, but I just couldn't get past how Angelina was acting. Now that there's been some time in between it I think I understand better why she was acting the way she was."

"You were going through a lot, and that's perfectly okay. It's hard to grasp what's going on exactly when you don't know at the same time. What I do know, is that my feelings for you aren't going anywhere." He held out his hand to me and I gently rested mine inside of his.

"The distance is difficult, don't get me wrong. Not all days are bad, but some are. But I'll continue my efforts to make it work, because I don't want to be with anyone but you."

"Wait, I've got an idea! If you quit your job, why don't we go to LA? I can get you a plane ticket home, you could just spend a few days down there." Colby said. I looked over at him and saw him nervously chewing on his bottom lip.

"Let me look over my agenda and I'll think about it, okay?" A smile tugged on his lips as he nodded his head.

Colby was right though. What could really be stopping me at this point?
