Sophia's POV:

It was still hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that I was in the house that sat on top of the land where the Sharon Tate house once was. The owner David did seem a little creepy, but Colby had a point. This guy has lived here for so long, who knew if what he went through on a daily basis was slowly driving him to be this way.

There was six of us so we split up.

Jake went into the laundry room, Sam and Colby went into the room full of memorabilia, Corey went into the game room, and myself and Angelina went into the media room.

I could hear each person individually mumbling to their own camera's, but right now I didn't have mine on. Angelina nudged my arm and smiled at me.

"Dude, I know you're waiting until this is over to scream and freak out, but how are you handling these encounters so easily?"

"I mean, it's not that hard. I can freak out at home in private, but in person I just want to treat them like normal people. They probably don't get it often, yanno?"

She nodded her head. "That's sweet of you. I don't know how you do it, you always treat people with kindness and put them first. You're such a kindhearted person, and that's something I'll always love about you." She paused for a moment. "Besides... they seem to have liked you enough with your creepy research, so you had to strike something in them. Think of what this could do for you."

I honestly didn't want to get my hopes up and expect anything to happen. We still had five full days here after today. But if this could be the start of getting to what I always felt like I was destined to, I wouldn't mind. Just then, maybe my life would finally be falling into place. Was LA meant to be my home?

I shrugged my shoulders. "We'll see what happens. But come on, we're wasting time, we should be investigating!"

I turned my night vision camera on and flipped the screen so the camera would face the two of us, but also so we could make sure that we were in frame the entire time. "Hey guys, so we all split up into different rooms in David's basement, me and Angelina are in the media room. This is where he reports the cold spots in the house. Jake is in the laundry room which has reports of the highest K2 readings, Sam and Colby are in the memorabilia room; and in there David reports a shadowy walking between that room and the game room that Corey was in. If at any point you hear a girlish scream, I can guarantee that Corey probably saw the Shadow Man."

David had a thermal camera that he let us borrow, because the boys only had the more mainstream equipment, along with myself. While I was recording with my camera, Angelina was using the thermal camera to get a baseline sweep of the room to see if there was anything out of the ordinary.

"Woah.. what the fuck?"

I furrowed my brows and looked over at her, the camera recording. Even the smallest thing I didn't want to miss. People had a tendency to stop recording and that's when they would miss the good stuff. But that's always how it works, right? Well not with me.

"Has anyone been in here in the last five minutes?" She asked, looking over at me. "Not at all. It's just been me and you in here talking for maybe the last... fifteen or so minutes."

"Soph.." She showed me what she saw on the thermal, everywhere in the room was reading in a red, orange, and yellow color. Then she stopped in the middle of the back wall that the couch was up against, and there was a blue handprint visible on the camera. "Woah. Dude we definitely didn't do that, we haven't even been close to over there."

I walked over to the corner where there was an intercom that went to the kitchen, which was where David had his own camera's set up. He was watching us, so I just wanted to validate that it wasn't us.
