I woke up to what I assume was a few hours later, it was still completely dark through the small opening Colby would leave in his curtains. I pushed the blankets off me slightly so I could sit up, his hands dragging off of my body.
"Where are you going?" He asked in a hoarse tone, shocking me that he was awake. "Oh shit, did I wake you up?"
"I don't mind, is everything good?" I nodded, grabbing his shirt off of the floor and slipped it on, along with my panties. "I'm hungry. I was just going to look around for a snack."
He got up from the bed and slipped on his boxers. "I'll join you." I grabbed the pen from my purse and smiled at him. "Mm, have you ever had a fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich?"
"Actually, no." He said with a laugh, wrapping his arms around my waist and pressing a kiss to my forehead. "But it sounds fantastic, so I'm down."
"You seem to be down with everything that involves me, should I be worried?" He playfully rolled his eyes. "Can you blame me? Anyone could easily be addicted to you the way that I am."
"I would agree with that statement, but you have to remember my ex-fiancé is a thing." He reached out and brushed my hair back from being in my face. "That's his loss, and my gain. Now let's go whip up these sandwiches."
He walked over to the bedroom door to unlock it and opened the door, letting me walk out first and following after me.
We made our way down to the kitchen. "Alright, we just need bread, peanut butter, jelly of choice, and butter."
He rummaged through the cabinet and pulled out bread, creamy skippy peanut butter, smuckers grape jelly, and butter.
I looked around the drawers until I found the silverware and pulled a butter knife out. "Where are your pans at?" He pointed over to the second to the last cabinet and I opened it and pulled one out.
I took it over to the stove and set it on a burner and turned it on medium heat. "So how are we making these?" He asked.
"We're basically making it like a grilled cheese. Put peanut butter on one side, jelly on the other. Press those together and we butter up each side."
Colby nodded his head and grabbed another butter knife, smearing peanut butter on one piece of bread, and jelly on the other side before pressing them together. I then took the sandwich and buttered one side and rested that side of the hot pan, hearing the sandwich start to sizzle when it came in contact. While that side cooked, I buttered the side that was facing me.
Colby was getting the next sandwich ready and working around me to put everything back in it's place. I grabbed my pen from the counter and took a hit from it and handed it over to him so I could flip the sandwich to cook the other side of it.
He took a decent hit from it, up until all you could hear in the kitchen was him now coughing. "You are such a lightweight sometimes." I shook my head, letting out a laugh.
"I am not!" He said in defense, resting his hands on my hips as I removed the sandwich from the pan and set it on the plate that was next to the stove. "If I ever smoke, it's a blunt that gets handed to me, not a little pen."
I set the next sandwich on the pan and buttered the side that was facing me before turning around to face Colby. "For it being 'just a pen', last time I checked you almost just coughed up a lung." I reached out and tapped my pointer finger against his nose. "Nice try."
"Whatever helps you sleep at night, Soph." He said, soft smile forming on his lips. "Oh, that would be this pen, and the sandwich."
He furrowed his brows. "But not me? Hm, I see how it is. Two can play at that game." I turned around to flip the sandwich onto the other side and grabbed the plate that had the first one on it, and held it out to Colby.
"I'm not sure what you're waiting for, but I want to see you try this already." He grabbed the plate and took his butter knife and cut it in half, grabbing one of the pieces and taking a bite of it.
"Oh my god." He said with a mouthful of sandwich. "I'm gonna take that as you like it?" I asked, setting mine on the plate and turning the stove off.
He nodded his head as he swallowed. "That smacks. You we're definitely onto something, it's a perfect middle of the night snack."
"You also can't say that I didn't make you a sandwich after having sex either." I said, letting out a giggle. I watched as one of his signature cheesy grin's plastered onto his face. "I did help with both of those though, just saying."
I grabbed my plate and went over to the island and pulled a chair out, sitting down so I could finally eat my own. Colby pulled out his chair and sat down beside me.
"So, what happened with going to the ranch yesterday?" I asked, looking over at him as I took a bite of my sandwich. "That was the original plan, but I think we forgot to factor in the timing of the single dropping. We had that and the party planned in advance, so no harm in pushing it back a day."
"You guys really do hold quite the party. Back home people would throw parties with that many people and you would be packed in there like sardines. I'm glad we got to experience a Hollywood party with you guys though."
"I'm just glad you were so willing to hang out with us this much. It's different.." he paused, taking a bite of his sandwich. "Different in a good way though! I've never seen anyone we just met at random fit in so good, not to treat us like we're different. Truthfully, we all love having you and Angelina around."
At this point I was able to finish half of my sandwich, and as hungry as I was prior to this, I didn't feel like finishing it.
"Colby, I wouldn't change anything for the world." I rested my hand on his shoulder and flashed him a soft smile. "Why don't we get back to bed, yeah?"
He nodded his head and we got up from the chairs and threw our plates away, and made our way back upstairs to his room.
