By the time that I woke up it was around 2 pm. I was the only one in the RV. Zak said it might be best for me to sit today out because of how difficult things were on me yesterday.
I rubbed over my eyes and rolled out of bed, heading to the bathroom. I went in there to pee and brush my teeth, but the shower ended up calling my name more than I was expecting.
Standing under the hot water I let out a sigh of relief as it engulfed my body. I took a pretty decently long shower, just enjoying my time. It wasn't often that I got alone time down here, not that I minded either. Sometimes it was just nice to be able to unwind on your own.
Eventually I got out and wrapped a towel around my head to contain my wet hair, and one around my body. I grabbed my phone from the sink and saw that I had a missed call from Debbie around ten minutes prior.
Unlocking my phone, I quickly called her back as I stepped out of the bathroom.
"Sophia! How are you?" She asked, sounding rather perky.
"I'm pretty good, how about yourself?" I asked in return, wanting to be kind to her.
"Fantastic! I wanted to let you know that we ended up getting offers from each couple or family that came to the open house." She paused for a second. "But one of them... really stands out to me." She said.
"Why is that?" I asked, furrowing my brows.
"A couple put in an offer for a hundred thousand over the listing price. He said they've always had their eye on this place, and would love to raise their family here. Seemed like nice people." I nodded my head as she spoke, hearing some papers rustling in the background. "Then we have one who sent in an offer twenty thousand below the asking price because it was slightly out of their price range, but wanted to give it a go. The next family sent an offer for the exact asking price, and the final sent in ten thousand more."
"First of all, holy shit?! I can't believe someone would want my house enough to offer that much more." I laughed slightly, but I was shocked and really didn't know how to react. "I think we should let them have it."
"You want to accept their offer?" She asked. "You need to be a hundred percent certain about this."
"I'm positive. I found the perfect house down here in LA, I'm ready to move on." I said, chewing at the inside of my cheek.
"Alright, I'll take care of he paper work and get back to you once I hear from their end. Probably by the end of the day." I nodded my head, even though she couldn't see me.
"Sounds perfect. I'll make sure to keep my phone close to me. Talk to you later!"
"Enjoy the rest of your day, buh-bye." She said before hanging up.
I threw my phone on the bunk bed and jumped up and down in pure excitement. I didn't want to be too loud about it incase anyone was outside or close to the RV.
I shuffled through my suitcase and grabbed a pair of panties, socks, a t-shirt, and some sweatpants. Nothing too exciting since I would be relaxing today.
"Soph, lunch is here!" Colby poked his head in and yelled to me. I was sitting on the couch flipping through shows on Netflix. It always felt like a chore trying to find something good to watch on there.
"Babe!" I almost squealed out, running over to the door as he stepped inside.
"Someone is perky today, aren't we?" He chuckled.
"I'm feeling better today, that's for sure." I reached my hand out and used my pointer finger to poke his nose. "How's it going in there?"
"Crazy, as usual." He shrugged his shoulders lightly. "We were doing a little filming for our channel with them. I think it's gonna be pretty dope. We didn't do an intro yet though, since this is going on your channel."
"Sweet of you to wait on me." I smiled softly.
"I've been thinking about you all day." He said. "I wish that dream I had earlier would get out of my head." He rubbed over his eyes.
"It only lingers if you allow it. You're telling me that investigating in there isn't taking your mind off of it?" I asked, tilting my head slightly.
"Only so much. I am working beside the guy all day, ya know." He said.
"Silly me, how could I forget?" I laughed slightly, shaking my arms around his neck. "I love you, Colby Brock."
"I love you more, Sophia Emerson."
Just as the words left his mouth I stood up on my tip toes and pressed a soft kiss to his lips, and almost instantly I could feel him melt against me. It lasted for about a minute before I pulled away, both of us needing to catch our breath.
"Now you should be better." I flashed him an innocent smile, lacing my fingers with his. "What exactly is for lunch?"
"Chinese, curtesy of Samuel." He said as we stepped out of the RV. "Oh my god, please tell me you got lomein for me?" I asked.
"Wild of you to think I wouldn't." He said as we walked over to the tables where everyone was sitting, and eating their lunches.
I sat down beside Sam as Colby went to grab our food from the big box full of varieties of food from the Chinese restaurant he went to.
"Hey, guess what?" I said in a whisper, looking over at Sam.
"Why are we whispering?" He asked.
"So Colby doesn't hear, duh! It's about my house."
"Did something happen with the open house?"
I nodded.
"Someone sent an offer in, throwing in an extra hundred thousand. Debbie is finalizing the paperwork to get it officially sold." I said, smiling out of pure excitement.
Sam almost did a spit take at what I said, which I honestly found hilarious.
"Soph, I'm so happy for you!" He said, pulling me into a hug. "Now you'll be able to put in an offer for that house we looked at."
"It's all falling into place, finally."
