Ah, the day has come! Miss Mya celebrated.

What are you so chipper about? I asked while moving through town towards the forest.

Today's the day we go home, right?

Yeah? So what?

Well, I've already possessed the majority of the people in this town. Going back to your home is like starting anew. There's so many more people in the city to eat.

I think you could stand to go on a diet, I shot at her.

An image flashed into my head of Miss Mya puffing out her cheeks and pouting. It came at me so fast I nearly lost my footing and fell.

Right, I thought. These flashes can happen as well. It's not just the occasional emotion sharing. Granted it is less frequent.

I'm surprised you haven't asked about it after all this time, Miss Mya said.

I was given some details about it.

By Stin I presume?

Mhm.

I guess he is the only one who knows about this side effect of using me. Trusting him in this instance isn't bad.

I'm curious in what instance does he become untrustworthy? Miss Mya didn't respond, not that I expected her to. She hasn't been invading my thoughts as much lately. It makes me happy to know what I think is somewhat safe but I can't help but feel anytime that she is quiet that she's scheming something.

So Arthur, She started.

Yes?

Why are you out of the house so early? No one was even out of their room yet.

I need to run a quick errand.

Oh? What for?

I want to try making Mary happy.

I see. You've fallen for your beautiful protector. It was only a matter of time I suppose. I'll wish you the best.

No it's not like that!

It's okay Arthur. She's a beautiful girl who cares deeply about you. I'm sure it'll work out.

Miss Mya, please stop...

Your reactions always bring me joy, you know.

I sighed.

As far as making her happy, how do you plan to do that?

By unnecessarily risking my life.

She wouldn't be too elated to know you were putting yourself in danger, would she?

It's why she's not going to find out.

You really are such a strange child. But that's what makes you interesting.

Do I take that as an insult or a compliment?

Why not both?

I frowned.

I took the same path I usually do, leaving the town behind as I entered the land of trees. The weather was unusually perfect as it almost always was, with the sun radiating heat throughout the sky and the nice breeze cooling off most of the sunlight.

You know, I'm gonna miss this place. It's always so tranquil.

Because it's not like you don't have a forest in your own backyard.

The forest filled with Amazon traps?

When has danger ever stopped you from doing what you want?
