I surveyed my surroundings a second time to be certain. Sure enough, there wasn't a soul near us. Well, except Baihu.
"So what are we gonna do?" Tucker asked. "Do we follow it?"
"Hmm. I don't know."
If the weapon user is smart and knows about the meaning behind the vibration, they could easily lead us to a trap. But at the same time, if we don't look for them, then there was no point having come here.
However, just as I was brainstorming how we should act, a girl came flying into my arms. I panicked so much I almost dropped her.
"Wahh?" I let slip out.
She jumped out of my arms, a goofy smile resting on her face. She was somewhat of a short girl, being slightly shorter than me and Mary and significantly shorter than Tucker. She had short green hair and jade eyes. She wore an oversized orange sweater with a yellow skirt and mismatched high tops, one being purple and the other pink. To top it off, she had a large red bow in her hair and earrings with the yin-yang symbols on them.
"Hiya!" She greeted me with an explosion of energy shortly before studying me. Then she smiled again. "Hmm, so this is what another one is like." Then proceeded to nod like she was having a secret conversation with herself.
Baihu began growling maliciously at her, but was quickly silenced by her softly rubbing his fur. She acted as if they've known each other their whole lives.
"Good boy, good boy. Don't worry, I'm not here to hurt you."
"Hey girlie," Tucker started, "Who are you?"
"Wuh, me?" She pointed at herself, seemingly confused as if she didn't waltz into a group of people. She held her hand out to Tucker and grinned enthusiastically. "I'm Eris, nice to meet you!"
Tucker stared at her hand but refused to shake it. Not that I disagree. We just met her. To trust her would be foolish.
"Uh, huh." Tucker said, crossing his arms. "And just what do you want from us?"
"I wanted to see for myself what another one would be like." She responded.
"Another what?"
"Another person who owns a servant of the goddesses." As soon as she said this, she grabbed my arm and held me tight. "You're the one who owns one, right? Right?"
"U-uh, yeah." I admitted.
"Please let him go." Mary asked, although it felt like more of a threat than anything.
She did so without hesitation, only to get in Mary's face. "Oh! You're so pretty! Especially that beautiful red hair of yours."
"Thank you."
"And those eyes!" She continued. "My gosh, I'm jealous!"
She then bounced over to Tucker and clapped his hands together.
"What are you—"
"And you! You've been touched as well! Your future will certainly be bright!"
"Thanks...I guess?"
I should probably stop her...she's kind of jumping all over the place.
"So, uh Eris right?" I interjected.
"Hm?"
"You mentioned me being another one. Does that mean that you also have a demo— I mean servant of the goddess?"
"Yes. But I've never met anyone else like me."
"Would it be okay to make contact with your servant?"
