When I opened my eyes I was back on my bed.
Ah, I hate that I'm awake. This is the perfect opportunity to sleep in too. I could probably ask for Miss Mya to make me tired if I really wanted to. But I'm not going to do that. I don't want to bother her anymore.
I guess I'll just read.
Too lazy to get up, I rolled off my bed, landing on my arms and legs perfectly. I yanked my backpack to me and started rustling through it for my book.
Origins of the Eptá Ergaleía.
Even though I've read through it already, I find myself coming back to read it. I feel like I find something useful about it every time I open it.
While skimming through the book, I found that most of the weapons were a complete representation of the demons I've met so far. The first weapon of the goddess Telaís was Kenós, Roxanne's scythe. The second weapon of Archìa was described to grow and shrink vegetation, which fits the description of Ainia's tiger claws fairly well. And the second weapon of Telaís use the power of those it defeats to strengthen its own power, which is obviously Essentia.
Let's see...who else. Oh? I haven't read this, have I? I guess I always just skipped over this passage:
Known as the last defense of the goddesses and the first weapon to be created, this weapon's role is to maintain stability. It is a favorite of not only Archìa, but Telaís, who has bestowed the weapon with power of her own. Because of this, it cannot be considered Archìa's first creation. Inside the weapon is a neutral being who wants nothing but to fulfill the goddesses' will. Should a being capable of threatening the goddesses ever come, it's job is to terminate it without hesitation.
This has to be Stin, right? It makes the most sense at least.
I turned back several pages and started reading over another prompt:
The third weapon of Telaís is the manifestation of chaos. The definition of an erratic personality. A rebel amongst rebels; A flighty spirit who detest rules and enforces freedom. A fickle being who prioritizes entertainment above all. With rules being non-existent, the weapon selfishly pursues its own ambitions and indulges in creating its own scenarios to make itself happy through the owner.
This one sounds...problematic to say the least. Chaotic and erratic? I definitely don't want to meet this one. Wait, laws? Wouldn't that be like the person we found in the alleyway? He bended laws, didn't he?
I heard Miss Mya groan.
That's a good sign that I probably shouldn't ask her.
So I'm missing two.
I turn to the middle of the page. Another passage appears:
With the spirit of a lion, the second weapon of Archia is a courageous being whose spirit shines above the rest. Willing to defy the odds, it does best when all others have lost hope. This weapon will grant tremendous power to anyone who is capable of wielding it. Alas, however, many have tried and met a gruesome end.
I don't think I've seen this one yet. Granted it's wording leaves it kind of vague. But by the sound of it the weapon excels at physical feats, which I certainly have yet to see. Even Ainia is more agility than brute force strength.
Weirdly enough, I don't think it mentioned anything to do with Ória. I flipped through the book, quickly scanning random pages trying to find any mention of her or her characteristics.
According to the book it only speaks of six weapons. Well Ória is technically Essentia...I think? But it only talks about Miss Mya and doesn't say a word about Oria's characteristics. I figured it would mention her chains or something.
