Her house was situated about five minutes or so from the restaurant we were at. I had to do a double take when she told me the building in front of us was her house. It was...unreal to say the least. The Japanese structured home towered over its neighboring peers.

It wasn't bigger than our mansion but it looked sort of out of place compared to majority of the other houses. Only a few houses could compete with it.

Tucker pointed at the house and turned to her. "Yeah, no, there's no way this is your house!"

"Wuh, wae not?"

"No matter how you look at it, this house is way too big for just you!"

"Hehe, I'm not alone though. Tucker's here, isn't he? And Arthur and Mary." She let out a cheesy smile.

Tucker nervously scratched his cheek and tried to hide his blushing. "I guess you ain't wrong."

"Did that make you happy Tucker?" I teased.

"What? Of course not!"

"Come on!" I heard Eris yell, who was somehow already at the door.

"You heard the girl." Tucker said. "Leggo." Tucker didn't wait, leaving me and Mary behind in the dust. We followed behind.

The inside was what one would expect from a Japanese styled home. Tatami mat flooring with Kanji Art hanging on the walls.

"Please take your shoes off." Eris said as we made our way inside.

"Oh, my bad." Tucker and I both said.

Completely forgot that was a custom here.

"It's fine, it's fine." She dismissed.

We did as we were told.

Confused as to what I'm supposed to do with my shoes, I stood there awkwardly.

Eris laughed. "Bring them with you. You can put them on once we get to second floor if you want."

"Second floor?" Tucker inquired.

"Mhm! You can also leave your bags here if you prefer to stay down here."

I can't lie. I did like the atmosphere of the traditional room. It felt calming being here. The cool air and the soft straw floor that I could feel through my socks really put me at ease. There were even pathways that led outside where you could walk aside the plants and a small pond with myriad of fish living in it.

So when I saw she led us to a seemingly out of place staircase, I was sort of thrown off.

Upstairs was a complete culture shock. There was regular hardwood floors, a television, wall plugs, tables, chairs, and a couch. It had a chocolate and vanilla color scheme. The layout of the room still gave off a foreign feel to it, but with a modern twist.

"Wait..this is super nice!" Tucker yelled.

"So loud." Mary complained.

"Welcome gaijin!" Eris yelled even louder, as if trying to outdo Tucker.

"What'd ya just call me?" Tucker asked.

"Means foreigner. You are, are you not?" She poked Tucker's nose. "Boop." Then she bawled out laughing.

"Hey!"

She put her hands together. "Hehe. Sorry, sorry." She apologetically bowed.

"If you're sorry then stop laughing!" Tucker exclaimed.

You know it never registered to me that since she was born here there's a good chance she speaks Japanese.

"Eris, do you speak Japanese?" I asked.
