"Whoo! We made it! We're back baby!"
"So loud" Mary complained as she slid off.
Mr. Reginald and I did the same. Ainia leapt into the air.
"It's good to be home." Mr. Reginald said in a relaxed tone.
"So this is a manshun?" Ainia asked.
"Yeah, this is our home." I said.
"Woah! So much bigger than home." She looked at Baihu and waved a finger at him. "Oi, no climbing."
Baihu's face didn't change but I could've swore I heard him click his tongue.
"Climbing the mansion?" I asked.
"He'll do it. Don't doubt him."
I laughed nervously. "I'll take your word for it."
A few of the maids eased up slightly after seeing us with Baihu, but the newer ones were still on edge. Not that I blame them. There was a giant beast in the middle of our backyard.
"So Ainia," Mr. Reginald started, "what do you plan to do now?"
"Hm. Well I could go home now. Or I could just explore the area around here."
"Why not stay for dinner?" I inquired.
"A-A-Arthur? What are you suggesting?" Mr. Reginald panicked.
"Well, we need her to explain the situation to my father. Besides, it's clear she wants to explore the mansion."
"Objections Mary or Tucker?" Mr. Reginald asked.
"Since she's already here, it would be easier to have her explain. As the younger sister of the queen, it can be assumed she knows the details of the deal. Am I correct?" Mary directed at Ainia.
"Yeah, my sis told me all of it including what the elders want out of it. Boring, but easy enough to understand." Ainia said while picking her ears.
"It sounds fairly reasonable. No complaints here." Tucker expressed.
"If you all agree to it then that's that." Mr. Reginald stated.
"Mr. Reginald, can I ask you to lead her to my father's quarters?"
"Are you not guiding her Sir Arthur?"
"No, I'm tired. I'm going to sleep."
"Ah, of course. It has been a long journey after all. You can count on me."
"Well that takes care of that. Now about Baihu..." I started.
Ainia looked over at Baihu. "Behave." She commanded him. He didn't react.
Let's hope he listens.
The five of us entered through the backyard entrance only to be met with petrified gazes from multiple maids and butlers. I was going to ignore them and walk past them but Ainia's interest was already piquing.
"Woah. They're just like Rin and Min. Except probably less mean."
"Please don't get too close to them. They seem a little wary of you." I requested.
"Fine, fine."
We were moving through the halls when a random Valerie ambushed me. Her makeup was lighter than usual which made her appear more beautiful in comparison to when I first met her. She clasped my hands with a look of deep concern in her eyes.
"Uhh, Valerie are you okay?"
"Master Arthur, I'm so glad you and everyone else are okay! I was worried you guys wouldn't come back." She looked like she was about to cry.
