She was dressed in white and she wore blue denim jeans. She wore bailees that probably were size five. She had no idea of how this meeting would turn out to be and this time Shane was as clueless as she was. Usually, he would plan the entire thing a night before just to avoid missing out on anything. He didn't. He didn't expect that they would even meet again.

They just walked. They didn't say a word for a long time, they kept looking at each other hoping the other would know, hoping the other would understand. But they were fools.

"All we have said is hi, you know?", she spoke.

"I know. I wanted you to be the one to be talking today because the last time I did it wasn't nice and if I start talking then maybe I would just talk about your email. I read it and I just felt like I was a fool who should have apologized already but now I think am already too late for that.", Shane had this ability to say things honestly and bluntly that she always admired.

"Let's forget it then and let's pretend it never happened?", She had already done that in her mind.

"Sure", Shane thought that how innocent she was to think that he would forget and pretend, something that he has failed miserably a million times in.

"You wanted to show me something right?", she just didn't want to talk about that topic anymore.

Shane took out the sketch from his bag. She hated this moment where she had to be at the receiving end of these surprises that were like grenades unpinned that were so casually tossed around by him. It wasn't she didn't love them but the weight of the baggage that was offloaded on her made her sink. She cherished them but she also knew that this world is based on the idea of quid pro quo. She knew she wouldn't nor she would want to meet the expectations that were too natural to mold inside him.

She couldn't deny it even if she wanted to that his gifts were things someone would turn into 'Horcruxes'. This sketch she had seen earlier before. She even thought of her mother then and this time too. She felt glad that she trusted him with his mother's story.  When she thought of it, she realized she had shared everyone's story willingly and happily. She smiled in her mind thinking how he would tail around her for her story and she hesitated to share and now they were there with him knowing almost everything.

She didn't say anything for a while as she admired the unclean strokes of the pencil that lost the flow. Despite the fact that she had seen it before she felt like her memory is telling her that there is something very different from what she was recollecting. It took a while for her to notice the necklace the child had, it was the same shape as the one he gave her. It lacked symmetry but it served its purpose.

"Thank you, Shane."

He smiled as he took the sketch and rolled it back to keep it in his bag, "Let me hold on to it for a while longer for you, we can't just carry it around right?"

They continued walking and she asked him, "You decided which job are you taking?"

Shane was placed into two of the most renowned companies. He was so proud of himself because he never felt this confident in his life ever before. He had few months to join but enough time to decide which company to go to and enough time to procrastinate and overthink. The first company 'Chestnut Corp.' a financial firm that was in the same city offered him the profile he liked and the second 'Woodstock' a technology giant offered an average profile but it took him to a new city which meant independence.

She didn't want him to leave the city and she never even once asked hinted this nor she said so. She always wanted him to make the decision that meant the best for him.

"I haven't decided yet. But, I think it would be sort of difficult to stay in this city for any longer than I have already stayed. I might just wait when the time comes for me to decide."
