Moving to a new city was the bravest decision she had ever made. The whole process of finding her calling couldn't have been more daunting for Luna.

Luna was a single child who was more protected than pampered. It's debatable whether it was a good thing or not because some wish they had someone to protect them and some just wish they could be free. She had perfect curves despite being chubby, an entire credit that goes to long hours of basketball and ice hockey. She had a dragon tooth that made her smile attractive and a long face. She had round brown eyes and short straight hair. She was a loyal converse sneakerhead.

Her strong desire to explore and take chances in her life made her study vigorously for her to be selected for a two-month student exchange program. She loved money and had all the qualities to become an alpha woman. She wasn't the kind who would let opportunities slip by. This was a quality that made her more attractive.

Ever heard of 'Bad meets evil'? Bad Meets Evil is an American hip-hop duo composed of Detroit-based rappers Royce da 5'9" and Eminem. I guess they knew from the beginning that you attract what you are.

Because Shane for Luna turned out to be the fire that burnt fire. Shane was her turning point.

When they met, she instantly recognized him. They had a mutual friend who was mutually distant from either of them now. Shane and he used to play pool together at a downtown pub on Fridays and drank till one of them passed out. They had a bond based on how open-minded they were too insulting each other and didn't care what anyone thought about them when in public. An attitude that attracted her to both of them.

Rebellious attitude aside, the one thing that made her make a move and keep her guard down the night they first spoke was that he recognized 'Ailuros' inked on her wrist. It was one of her tattoos and the only one which was visible to everyone and the fact that he knew turned her on.

She wanted what he wanted. Something temporary and it worked too but only temporarily because you can't always give in everything and continue to hope that one day you won't want more.

What does wine do? Lift up your spirits? Make you feel relaxed? If that's it, then it's not the right wine.

She was high before they started talking that night. Sitting on her couch with only her lounge t-shirt playing Montell Jordan's This is how we do it and she knew all the lyrics and she could shake and groove in a rhythm that it would be very hard to guess she had from how she walked, always in a rush and taking short steps. She had a habit of twerking every time the base dropped for the punch lines to kick in.

'The summertime skirts and my guys in Kani
All the gang bangers forgot about the drive-by
You gotta get your groove on before you go get paid
So tip up your cup and throw your hands up
And let me hear the party say'

She always had men lurking around her so it wasn't a surprise when Shane started talking. There was a way he talked. He was witty but blunt. Asked lots of questions, all sorts of questions like there were just questions but could have been rude to many. But because he didn't flinch responding to hers, she didn't mind either.

One thing lead to another. When they spoke about their past relations she felt it was more of a confession for their sins. She didn't realize this till the next day that they had changed the dynamics of their relationship in just one conversation, their first-ever conversation.

The mind is funny, mind is fucked.

They convinced themselves that this would be fun for what it's worth.

The next day when they met she realized that what they had become was mere bodies. She felt something. He liked his dominance. He smelled of smoke, almost always. Where they sat was just about right to not be seen by anyone, if lucky. They were taking the risk and she liked it.

Have you ever wondered how a formal relation starts? It takes months to build, understand and get used to each other initially to even consider it as an option. Then till the time one is sure and dares to ask that relation doesn't even exist. Most relations it seems started because you were used to each other. Guess had it been an option to be with the same person now, the answer might be a no.

Have you ever wondered how a fling starts? It just does.

Flings are more spontaneous when you have someone else in mind. Anyone telling you that they are in a fling just to distract themselves is the worse liar. Because before, in, and after the moment you only have the same person in mind.

Maybe that is why he needed 'cigarettes after sex'. Literally.

That night he didn't text her. She didn't either. But, she couldn't ignore Jenny, whom she met once for a moment, knows the name but couldn't fail to notice how different he was with her.

Women hate being number two for someone who is number one for them. They never explicitly say this, never show this and just wait patiently till the time they realize neither that fact bothers them nor that person matters to them.

If only men were smarter and women more vocal, not many stories would have gone to vain.

She wanted to dance, which she did that night. Drank again and smoked too.
