"Shane, are you telling me Jenny texted you after all this time?", She asked.
"It's just a text message".
"For four hours?"
"Why are you getting so upset about it?"
"Sorry, I will talk to you later", and she cut the call.
She just sat in her room on the swing that was her recent birthday present from Shane. It was not even her birthday yet.
She remembered how they had met for the first time four years back. It was the first day of their new chapter in their life. The excitement of the new city and the new job and the thrill of independence.
She saw him, rather she smelled him. She had a thing for the smoke smell. She found him interesting, the way he didn't speak to anyone. He was well dressed. She laughed right now thinking who had thought that moment that she would say that he defined her three years that followed.
She was shy but dared to speak to him. She hoped he knew the show 'Suits'.
"Today is your lucky day. Today you get to meet Brylee".
"And let me guess. You are Brylee?"
"Oh! You have no idea how Brylee I am."
They smiled. She was glad he knew it and it worked.
She smiled recollecting this memory and the immediate stupidest rather meanest thing he said.
"Those green eyes are going to kill me."
