Evelyn was determined not to see Luke ever again.

She had successfully avoided him for long periods of time after they slept together, ducking into rooms whenever he was nearby.

Lucky for her, school was over anyways. No more being forced into classes with him.

She figured she'd begin packing for college right away, considering she would be going to Cambridge way up in London.

Her dad was excited but sad to let her go so far away, though he knew he didn't have a choice. Art was her passion and going across the world was her only real shot at it now.

Evelyn carefully filled the boxes in her room, one at a time with momentums carefully  placed aside into a box labeled fragile.

Her back began to hurt from sitting on the hardwood floor for so long.

The door rang.

She slowly stood up, her knees popping and cracking as she shook out the pain.

It was most likely Hailey, who Evelyn had asked to bring a label maker and some sharpies.

Somehow, in the entirety of the house, they didn't have either of those things.

Would you believe it?

I don't.

When Evelyn opened the door, she was proven right. There stood Hailey, a box of things against her hip and pushing up the tanktop that adorned her body.

"Hey thanks for coming," Evelyn greeted her, taking the box and widening the door's opening to let her on.

"No problem," Hailey cheerfully slipped off her shoes and ran down to Evelyn's room, ahead of her. Her blonde hair whacked the girl in the face, Evelyn scrunching her nose before wordlessly turning the lock and following after her.

They slipped into her room and sat on the floor, continuing to box up her things.

"Where's your car?" Hailey asked after a moment, "I didn't see it out front."

"I gave it to Michael. He's out somewhere," Evelyn responded, folding a shirt carefully in her lap. Hailey glanced around at the barren room, slowly turning in a circle.

The walls were completely white, cleaned up and ready for someone else's use. For something else, if her father decided to do something with it while she was gone.

It was empty, and eerie to say the least.

"Really? Never thought you'd part with that car."

She shrugged, placing the clothing stack down flat in a box. She continued through the motions, meandering here and there to grab essentials for her dorm.

I'm probably going to have to go out and get some things.

Evelyn made a mental note to ask Ashton to take her.

It was weird, she thought, that sentence. She wouldn't ask any of the other boys.

So much has changed in this past few months, let alone the whole year.
